The only thing i didn't like about the I Love Lucy 50th Anniversary Special was the fact that roseanne was on it. Of course she was very rude and not proper at all. How could she say "Look at Desi. thats a fine piece of ass that Desi".. how could she say that on what was suposed to be a very proper and touching tribute to I Love Lucy. I know of course Desi was attractive but couldn't just have said Desi was nice looking or somthing? o wait of course not, we're talking about Roseanne here the annoying bitch that once made obsence jestgers while sing our national anthem!

I think Roseanne is plan out annoying. I can't stand her at all. I wish she never appeared in the I Love Lucy special. I hate her voice, I hate her show, and above all I hate everything about her. The annoying b*t*h.

I'm glad to know that I wasn't the only one that thought Roseanne just didn't belong on the special. I don't know if she thought yelling that out would be funny or what, but it sure wasn't funny to me...

Did you guys see when they were all singing the theme song and Roseanne sang her piece, then they broke in with Lucy doing her "spider take?" http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/lol.gif

ya that was soo funny! it was perfect when they showed her saying "Yeeeeeeeeeeoooouuugh!" after roseanne sung!.

if Lucy was alive and saw roseanne on that tribute to her and the I Love Lucy show i am sure that is what she would have said in real life. she would have been discusted that they would put such an annoying bitch on a TV show that was such a touching tribute to her and the I Love Lucy show!!

Come on people roseanne wasent that bad. I enjoy watching her show because i just think its funny. i love lucy a million times more then i do roseanne. the thing she said about desi was just her opinion. it was just her way of saying desi is handsome.

What?! Are you saying that the show was automatically bad just because it had Roseanne on it?

I thought the special was fantastic, although I could have done without Roseanne. Nevertheless, Lucie and Desi did a wonderful job, and I for one think that special is one of the greatest productions out there. And I certainly hope you don't think that purely because Roseanne was on, you think the show was bad.

I still find it interesting that Roseanne was on a special saluting I Love Lucy.

The day Lucy died ( 1989 ) I heard the news on Denver's KOA Radio and they tried to get Roseanne's comments on Lucy's death. She said she cant comment because she didnt like Lucy or her shows so it would not be right for her to make a comment about it.

Like I said earlier she must have had a change of heart.

The reason Roseanne appeared on that special is simply because of the money. I mean when her show ended and her talk show failed she had to find some way to rake in some extra cash (lol). Anyway, I liked her show (mainly the earlier episodes) I mean she pissed off the President during the Gulf War and dishonored all the soldiers fighting and dying, and she might have not had enough class to say something more appropriate on the Lucy special, but that's a part of her character. She makes it a point to be a controversial figure. I wonder what she would have said about 9/11 or do I?

The reason was not really for Roseanne and her needing money (believe me, she still has money from her shows and residuals and stuff, she ain't getting poor any time soon). The reason really, I believe, was probably because Roseanne (and forgive me for comparing her to a great comedienne and actress), like Lucille Ball, was a leading comedienne in her field when she was on the air. Having Roseanne, still a realtively big name (and as much as people say they hate her, her ratings were that bad until the episodes started getting bad), was actually good for the special. (Anyways, most people don't know or remember those comments made by Roseanne.)

I'm sorry, that may be your opinion, but many people seemed to disagree with you. When she was on the air, she was one of the leading comediennes, and got big ratings and did very well. I'm sorry, but she was a leading comedienne, there's no way around that fact.

I hate to say it but she was a leading comedienne but she could never ever compare to Lucille ball.

That's great because, you see, I wasn't comapring her comedic abilities to Lucille Ball. I was, however, comparing the fact that she had a hit television sitcom in the 1990s to the fact that Lucille Ball had a hit television sitcom in the 1950s.

Roseanne had a great show that was extremely funny and she won the Emmy award for best actress in a comedy, so she was not bad at all. She has mental problems and no class however, that is true. But her show was funny, is funny and will always be funny. It stank only in the last episodes at the end when she decided to help write the show. At least her kids were real, not those fake kids from shows like Family Affair and others. I also agree though that she should not have been on a Lucy tribute, as she used to say that she hated the show because Lucy always had to ask Ricky for money, instead of remembering it was a series set in the fifties when some women actually did that. But they had her on becaue she was the comedic star of a sitcom like Lucy.

Roseanne isn't gonna change her personality just for a special and she really doesn't care what people think of her. plus I think that part of the speical may have been taped earlier. Because I have seen other news programs with her in it and she isn't as heavy as when she is on the Lucy special.

And Roseanne has said she is working on being a much nicer person.

thank you, i love Roseanne, there is nothing wrong with her just because she speaks her mind.

I'm not entirely sure why this was dug up anyway, but I got a report on it, and it looks like a ticking time bomb to me.
