What clubs or groups did Barney Fife belong to while attending Mayberry Union High School?

Seems to me he was probably in the Glee Club, but that's just a guess. Any help is greatly appreciated.:crazy:

According to The Andy Griffith Show Book by Beck and Clark, Barney was in the Spanish Club, Volleyball Court Maintenance Crew, Hall Monitor and Board of Directors-Tin Foil Drive.
Barn had a sports column, "Pickups and Splashes From Floor and Pool", for the school paper. It ran "just that once" because Barney was too far ahead of his time.

Look for Episode 82: "Class Reunion". In this episode, Barney and Andy are looking through Barney's high school yearbook and they reminisce about the past. Andy refers to a club (I can't recall which one) to which Barney was nominated, but another classmate had "black-balled" him.
