You're not the only one. Reagan wanted to use it for his re-election campaign in 1984, and Chevy wanted to use it in commercials for their trucks. Bruce declined both requests.

Born in the usa works - we're mutts (the movie stripes, remember ). Overcoming all kinds of adversity and stuff, plenty of pride despite it.

Although Born In east L.A. might represent the spirit that is us a lil' better :)
