View Full Version : Woooooaaaaahhhhh!
kate13190 03-30-2003, 10:07 PM I told you!I KNEW IT!SHE KISSED HIM!
Wow,thats..scary.Guess in the next eppy Helen has some guilt,eh?
Did anyone else notice in the preveiws like every scene Meg has is her making out with Luke?.But I like Luke. There should be more of his kind in the world.
Bye-bye Jimmy. That's sad,he was starting to grow on me now that he and Meg were developing a special bond. It's funny how he always calls Luke "Clark Kent".
The poker game was funny.Gosh,Pete really is making it hard for Jack.Oh,and Patty and Will were funny too.Too bad now-a-days they have caller-ID and e'll call you back.
Stupid JJ,stupid. They're in there drinking beers, and then wants him to cut his cast?Have him walk in a straight line first.
iowa*sweetie 03-30-2003, 10:17 PM Well, I have mixed feelings about this episode. First the good, then the bad. Good- Meg and Jimmy! They were so cute together, especially the last dance. But it's so sad that he's leaving, because now we won't get to see him any more. He was one of my favorites! :(
Ok, now the bad. Helen and the professor- dumb. She better not fall for him any more than she already has. Why doesn't she realize it will ruin her family?? Patty and Will- dumb as well. They need to grow up sometime. And Patty's old enough she should know better. JJ and Tommy- well that was about the stupidest thing they've ever done. I never did like Tommy, and now I'm really beginning to dislike JJ.
About next week- I hope the scenes between Meg and Luke stay G-rated. Or at least not much more than what they've already done. I don't want it to turn into some steamy romance that I can't watch when my mom's around.
americandreamsgirl 03-31-2003, 02:13 AM Hey tonights ep was good.I feel sorry for Roxanne. Her dad is such a well you get my drift i can't say it here. But I will say jerk.I see why Roxanne does what she does.her dad being a jerk pushed her to it.She was really upset.i hate her dad and it isn't even on the show. What scum to have the nerve to tell your own daughter you demand money from her. She's 16 years old.Arrgh! he pissed me off.so did Bobby Darin. Was he that rude than.As for Patty what a brat she teaching her brother to do the wrong things.JJ what was going on in his head.that Tommy is a bad influence on him. They're lucky nothing serious happened to his leg more.Helen oh god i can't believe she kissed that creepy professor. He needs to back off her.Jimmy its good he became a marine. But I hope if he has to fight in Vietnam War he survives and comes home whole. In next weeks episode i hope Meg doesn't do a stupid thing at a young age.I don't think channel 4 will make things go too far its public station.Well Can't wait for next suday.Goodnight.sorry so long.toodles from Julia :) :D
Daydreamer299 03-31-2003, 12:10 PM Id have to say tonight wasn't the best episode. That thing with JJ/Tommy and the cast/beer was bad, lol. What were they thinking? lol! And I just knew Helen would kiss him! This should get interesting. The rest of the show... hmm. Jimmy/Meg were the best part, loved how he went again, "meg pryor, from east catholic" so cute!
Also loved the Roxanne/Michael scene, i love their chem! Poor Roxanne. Will was cute, constantly messing up on the phone calls, lol.
all in all so so episode.:) Cant wait for Next Week!
iowa*sweetie 03-31-2003, 01:54 PM I definitely have to agree with you, daydreamer. The part where jimmy said "meg pryor, from east catholic" was probably my favorite line in the whole episode! It was so cute- a perfect way to end his part (assuming he won't be on anymore...). It was a happy-sad ending, as opposed to a sad-sad ending like when he left the show the first time.
kate13190 03-31-2003, 04:22 PM The thing about Jimmy is now Meg and he can write back and forth.Oh!Maybe it'll add some jealousy between Meg and Luke, because even though he's miles away,Luke thinks Meg is starting to like Jimmy again.
Okay,there goes my crazy mind.Heh.
alumnagirl 03-31-2003, 05:45 PM They can write, yeah, but I'm worried about Jimmy (I know, it's weird to be worried about a TV character). HE's probably going to be sent to Vietnam
Leigh Ann 03-31-2003, 07:30 PM I liked last night's episode. I think, too, that Jimmy will be sent to Vietnam. But, I don't know. Something just tells me that he won't make it out alive. Because they were showing what a sweet moment that was when he was dancing with Meg. And, in Vietnam, wasn't there like hardly any survivors? I don't know, that's just my thought on last night's episode. But, as always, I can't wait for next week! I doubt if it'll be on in two weeks, because, if you saw on the commercial there's going to be a show called "Women in Comedy." I didn't catch the time, but, it'll probably be during AD time.
I liked last night's episode. I think it's obvious Jimmy is going to Vietnam. And I know JJ is going to college, but I had always thought that somehow he was going to get drafted... Let's see...about Patty. She's supposed to be really smart, but she is so immature--and really annoying. And I agree--Helen and the professor were just creepy.
americandreamsgirl 04-02-2003, 02:09 AM I saw that about "Women In Comedy" but i don't think its the Sunday night.I didn't see time or day either.I'll check my tv listings at aol for April 13th :) :D
Leigh Ann 04-02-2003, 06:57 PM Yeah, it's not on that Sunday. It's actually on my birthday, April 15th! :D
I'm watching it.
americandreamsgirl 04-02-2003, 11:09 PM yeah i read tv listing for April 13th and ad is on.so the women in comedy is the Tuesday.from Julia
mcgwirefan 04-04-2003, 02:44 PM While Meg has kissed Luke and Jimmy, do you ever wonder if she and Sam might get together? I know it's 1964, but they like each other.
Did they ever really tell us what Roxanne's father did? Maybe I missed something. Didn't he just leave her and her mother? I did feel sorry for her when he called.
americandreamsgirl 04-04-2003, 06:55 PM No they didn't give you info on what Roxanne's dad did or what she did.Michael Brooks just talked to her.I like how the show gives eveyone life but id like to see more of Roxanne's with her mom's lives.Well anyway i got to go.I have my own rehearsal tonight for a Play at school im in toodles from Julia :) :D
kate13190 04-05-2003, 01:11 PM Sam and Meg?No..they're just friends. In the times they're living in,I would be highly shocked if they ever got together.Plus, she's dating Luke, and seems to really like him (Which I think is great, because Luke isn't like the pretty boy kid or anything ;) )
And I also wish they'd focus a bit more on Roxanne's home life.I mean,I know the show revolves around the Pryor family, but Roxanne might as well be family too,and we have a right to learn more about her.but hey, maybe we will :D
Meg and Sam have enough problem being friends, so I don't think they'd ever get together. And there *is* Luke. I agree with Kate about him. He's great because he's sort of a geek, but that's what makes him cute. (He seems to be going for a Buddy Holly style--is that just me?)
I'm not that disappointed with Roxanne's story right now. I mean, there is a lot going with the Pryors and the Walkers, so to make her family problems a central issue doesn't seem that important. The show is revealing her history...just a little slower. I like the way it's going.
iowa*sweetie 04-05-2003, 08:29 PM RM16- I could have sworn Luke was going for a Clark Kent look! j/k, though, I think you might be right. But it is very cute in a dorky kind of way.
kate13190 04-05-2003, 09:57 PM Clark Kent works for me.I believe there should be more Luke's in the world.I know my boyfriend may not by the hottest guy in town, but I like him for different reasons. And thats why I think Meg and Luke are perfect.A girl like Meg,you'd expect her to have pined over Jimmy Riley forever. But she's sensible, and thats the reason she's my favorite character.:D
I guess I can see Clark Kent, Iowa*sweetie. Jimmy called him that once, didn't he?
kate13190 04-06-2003, 12:22 PM Heh,Jimmy called him Clark Kent a few times.Remember? He'd always so "So wheres your Clark Kent boyfriend?".I thought it was funny.
AmericanDreamer99 04-07-2003, 06:43 PM I'm so upset that they had Jimmy leave. I always liked him...especially how even though Meg gave him the black eye and all, he was still crazy about her. But how the radio was going in the background while they were dancing has me worried about him being sent to Vietnam. I hope Meg writes to him and Jimmy's not completely written outta the show...
I dunno, I might be the only one, but I really don't like Luke. Its just something about him. He seems all smug w/ his personality and I don't think he's rite for Meg at all. But maybe that's the thing...'opposites attract'. In which case, I can see their chemistry. But still, I think Meg can do better. Hopefully though, he'll start growing on me.
