In the episode "A Christmas Story" in which the cousins were snowed in and could not go to Madison (where it was Larry's turn to hand out gifts and would have to wait until 1995 to do it again), at the beginning we saw the Twinkacettis, and there were two children. (Notice the son said, "Oh yeah?!?!")

But in the episode "Baby Can You Drive My Car," in which Mr. Twinkacetti makes a bet as to whether Balki will pass his driving test, he says, "So my kid misses Christmas!" like he has only one child.

The driver's license episode was released a year and a half before the Madison episode, but the daughter looked too old to have been born after the driver's license episode.

Production goof?

Probably. That happens on a lot of shows.

I was pretty sure there were two kids...

Production goof.

...Both kids, Donnie & Marie (heh), were seen in "Christmas Story" & "Ladies & Germs."

And the woman who played Edwina (Twinkacetti's wife) dyed her hair red, straightened it, and became Lydia.

Yep, Donny and Marie...who were pint-sized clones of the Osmonds.

Here are a couple of pics of the Twinkie kids. Fun fact: Donny was played by Matthew Licht, whose brother Jeremy starred on another Miller/Boyett show (The Hogan Family).
