Even though the writers of Dick VAN dYKE SHOW and some other ppl are writing a new script, it isn't said while the new script will be extended as a tv series, or just one off tv special. It's gonna reunite the whole remaining cast. But- I think Dick Van Dyke should be brought into Becker, to boost ratings and keep the show running longer. Dick Van Dyke played Becker's dad before. He could get injured, come live with Becker, open up a Laundry place, or a small store, but still sometimes tries to con people as a salesman, then after getting Better, Buy an apartment near Becker, and continue to drive him crazy. I thnk It'd be good, or else give Becker's dad a spin-off- Fred.

Those of you who love The Dick Van Dyke show (Myself included!) should stop by the DVDS board!! We have a nice little group over there, and some interesting threads going on about the reunion.

Maybe he'd stop by for an episode but I heard DVD isn't interested in doing a television series anymore, although the idea of him being on a weekly series sounds great.
