I just finished watching this film and it is great to say the least. Great acting. Depressing but in a good sort of way. This film starring Nicolas Cage and Elisabeth Shue gets 3 1/2 stars from me.

Leaving Las Vegas was indeed a great movie...a dark slice of life about a man's descent into alcoholism.
Nicholas Cage won the Oscar for Best Actor for the role in 1995.

A truly depressing film.
I saw that film with a friend of mine. As the closing credits rolled, he turns to me and says "Okay, who's up for some suicide?"
