Did anyone watch the Emmy's on Sunday? They were handled brilliantly despite being cancelled twice due to 9/11 events. I thought Ellen did a remarkably classy job of handling the situation. Loved the "Nothing would piss the Talaban off more than a gay woman in a suit surrounded by Jews" line. LOL! Anyways, yes, there is a point looming somewhere on the horizon here.....oh yes, did anyone see the tribute they paid to Lucille Ball? It was so unexpected and such a nice surprise. Right before they presented the award for Best Actress in a Comedy Series they (in what I assume was a mild attempt to promote the ILL 50th Anniversary Celebration on CBS this Sunday) showed a montage of ILL clips while pointing out that it was the first series to use the 3-camera technique and to be able to be syndicated, etc. They also showed Lucy winning the actual Emmy in 1953 and showed a clip of her acceptance speech. I thought it was neat and I'm sure made the award seem far more meaningful for the woman (sorry, her name escapes me at the moment, the lady off 'Everybody Loves Raymond') who won it. I was also very pleased with the small tribute by Jean Smart to David Angell, producer of "Frasier", who was aboard AA flight 11 that crashed into the WTC with his wife as well. Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised.

I liked it too! I also think their choice in presenters (Mary Tyler Moore) was a good one. Can't wait for the special!

I didn't watch it (I was watching the Arizona Diamondbacks kick butt!), but that sounds nice. I'm glad Patricia Heaton (Debra on Everybody Loves Raymond) won, I know she is a fan of Lucy.

Dashing and daring,
courageous and caring,
faithful and friendly with stories to share.
All through the forest the sing out in chorus, marching along as their song fills the air;
Gummi bears, bouncing here and there and everywhere. high adventure that's beyond compare.
They are gummi bears.
Magic and mystery, a part of their history,
along with the secret of gummi bear juice.
Legend is growing,
they feel by the knowing,
they fight for what's right in whatever they do:
Gummi Bears!
bouncing here and there and everywhere;
high adventure that's beyond compare, they are the gummi bears.
They are the gummi bears!
