I'll be taping it tomorrow when TVLand airs it but I was wondering if anyone would want to clue me in on the background of the show ~ when it aired, it's longevity, etc.

Thanks!

I remember watching this show a few years ago, I think I will be taping this box set also, I anxious to see this show again.

It ran from September 1968-May 1971, it lasted 3 seasons and it aired on NBC.

Synopsis:

Diahann Carroll was the first black female to star in her own comedy series. Julia was an independent woman who worked as a nurse, who lost her husband in the vietnam war. After his death, she moved to L.A. and lived in an apartment with her son Corey.

Thank you!

I wonder if TVLand holds the rights to the rest of the show and will eventually air it? I'm anxious to watch it!

No problem, I believe they are just acquiring the episodes for their box sets, and they won't air in a regular rotation. :(

That's too bad. I guess it's better than nothing though.
