OPENING CREDITS-LOL. Those opening credits was connected to the pilot episode and it was never changed. Since the opening credits showed Will arriving to Bel-Air and knocking on the door, i would think it makes sense to change the opening credits in the 4 or 5th season.

Yes it does count. The simpsons Is not some Saturday Morning Cartoon. Its a Primetime TV show/Sitcom, so it does count.

And yes it is a cartoon, but why should that matter? are you saying Cartoons aren't allowed to Change theyre opening credits? and Other Examples? You said Fresh Prince was the only show that didn't change the Opening credits. And you are wrong!

I wasn;t sure whether i was wrong about Fresh prince being the only sitcom that never changed it's opening credits. I just want someone to prove me wrong with a show that's not a cartoon. So if you can let me know of any other shows that had the same opening credits then feel free to do so.

They probably just decided not to change it because it was so popular and had kind of become a trademark of the show.

Sanford and Son did update their opening credits in the later seasons. It wasn't a major change in the credits but minor changes In the early seasons, when Lamont pulls into the driveway there is a woman crossing the street with a light blue jacket. In the later seasons, when Lamont pulls into the driveway there is no one crossing the street. Fresh Prince never updated their opening credits.

Not only can I name another show that never changed their opening credits, but I can name a show that also had a big similiarity between it and "Fresh Prince"--the opening credits showed the main character knocking on the door and then moving in, just like Will! Ohhhh, I rock.

Just playing. ;) The show is "The Nanny."

{Special thanks to Will and Grace Rox for confirming this information and Barb from "The Really Unofficial Nanny Home Page."}

You noticed what IamGGFan... that Fresh Prince never changed its credits or that its the only noncartoon sitcom that never changed its credits? Because I named one that never did... and I'm still waiting for SOLOMON to give me my props! ;)

Ya know, Fresh Prince might be the only show to have non-cartoon credits that never change. The Nanny actually had cartoon credits in the opening, which made it easier to think of. I'm going keep trying to think of another one like Fresh Prince, but I probably never will. Did "Here's Lucy" ever change? Of course, those are cartoonish credits too, so that gets me no where!

You can also say that Sanford and Son never changed it's opening credits. They small changes but for the most part, it was the same.

The Simpsons may be a cartoon, but it's a primetime animated series, wich would make it a true sitcom. Same goes for Futurama. Now something like The Flinstones wouldn't count because it aired on Saturday mornings.

As for non-animated sitcoms, I can name a few others that never changed their opening credits. Cashodeen named one, The Nanny. Others are I Dream of Jeannie (It was only colorized, but other than that, no change), 3rd Rock From The Sun, Even Stevens, Lizzie McGuire, and Malcolm In The Middle (I'm pretty sure).

The Simpson's have too changed their opening. Well, actually, it's the same, it's just, they don't always show all of it. 'Course, "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" has a long version that's not usually shown too.
