how did he/she become so famous? He/She has no talent at all! My own personal choice has got to be Denise Richards. There's no doubt that she's a very attractive woman, but she has got to be the most wooden actress I have ever seen.

Drew Carey. Sure he seems like a nice guy and I like him on Whose Line but I dunno how hes getting 750,000 dollars per episode for the Drew Carey Show His stand up is not very funny, plus he's a very crappy actor.

I'd have to say I wonder about most actors today.. I think America in particular is too preoccupied with appearance. Think about it.. on every current popular tv show at least more than have of the cast is very attractive. If you don't believe me, spend a while watching some britcoms and try telling me you don't see a difference.

A lot. Especially people who can't sing but get contracts because they're related to so-an-so. I don't care if they're related to Tony Blair... some of them stink.

Yoko Ono is a no-talent to me but a celebrity nonetheless. What put her on the map was her marriage to music genius John Lennon.

I agree with you 100%. Sex appeal sells; talent doesn't. There are still exceptions though. There are some very beautiful people who I also find very talented. Goran Visjnic from ER is one.

Yeah there are exceptions.. but there's an overwhelming amount of actors who are nothing but pretty.

I totally agree. There are some actors and actresses who are sort of average looking such as Drew Carey just for an example. Have you ever noticed in films that there is always a beautiful girl with an ugly guy, but you never see a gorgeous guy with an ugly girl? Like, in As Good As It Gets, Helen Hunt and Jack Nicholson?!?:eek: I definetely think that appearance is the main factor in show business.

Or people who act and then they go into singing and vice-versa. You're good in one thing, don't try to ruin it by doing another. A few people come in mind, like Hillary Duff, Brittney Spears, JLo, etc.

He's not that bad of an actor (as far as Hollywood's low standards go), but he isn't very good at improv, either.

I really wonder sometimes how Leonardo Dicaprio became so famous. He sucks at acting, aside from his performance in Titanic:rolleyes:

There are so many actors and actresses out there who stink that I have to scratch my head and wonder how did they become Famous??? Alot of ugly ones too. Drew Cary was a good example. They put down woman because they have gotten older but, have you seen those ugly men? Although I like Jon Voight I think he's :p:. He is a good actor though....... Wooooooo They have alot of ugly guys out there! :p

There are lots of them: Britney, rappers, JLO (as much as I love Selena they could have picked someone better to portray her) Catherine Zeta Jones (She's only famous because of who she married) Ashanti (can't sing)

Avril. She can't sing very well, she doesnt write good songs, can't produce, is annoying, and isn't even attractive. i dont know how in the hell she ever got a record deal.

To the person who mentioned Hilary Duff..........I ditto that a million times. She really makes me wonder.

Here in the UK, there are many celebrities that the showbiz ppl talk about all the time, and yet they're very hyped up, there are some that only present variety shows or worlds funniest pets and all, and no one questions their celebrity, there's a new one added each month basically, and If you're a soap star, they try to come up with a creative mini series when your soap character dies, but every mini series is always a police drama- even if your character's a mass murderer.

I agree there...Music today has no meaning anymore. People don't write thier own songs or play their own instraments. There are a few exceptions I know.
