I have not been a member long, and I have not been burned by anyone yet . I am still waiting for a set from somebody here, but hopefully I will receive them soon, though it has been far longer than stated initially.

I did want to make a statement to other newbies who do not want to get burned (who does?):

Utilize the search engine whenever considering trading with someone to see if there have been either good or bad comments about specific traders/sellers. Maybe this is a no-brainer for some, but it sure can help save you from a whole lot of grief. I have inquired about names of people to help keep myself from getting the short end of the stick and gotten very few responses to my inquiries. However, in using the search option, I have come up with complaints about various traders/sellers, which is an eye opener. Obviously not all members frequent this board consistently, so your questions about fellow traders might never be accurately answered taking responses merely from current visitors.

You obviously can't be talking about me since I have NEVER ripped anybody off in any tape trades. YES your order has taken longer than originally anticipated but I have had a death in my family and I have been in the hospital. I have SEVERAL trades I am currently working on.. I get 3-4 new trades per week.

I agree with teboomer, sometimes things come up that cause a delay. But I was in a car accident a month ago and it really, really backed me up. I got so far behind I felt buried and that I'd never get caught up. I'm still trying to catch up and whlie I'm getting closer I still feel stressed about getting all my tapes done. I'm also at the busiest time of the year for my job and I work every weekend, all week long...until last Sunday I had gone for nearly 3 months without a day off. In 5 short weeks my schedule goes back to M-F, weekends off which will help immensley. I've been honest with all my trades-to-be, letting them know things are a bit slow and I've not received any tapes that I have not sent the trade in return for.

I have been ripped off once already, but someone on here that goes by the name of Clevermania@aol.com but that person ceased all communication, did not send my tapes, ignored my posts, etc.

Just because someone is slow doesnt' mean they are ripping you off!!! :)

I have not been ripped off by you, Teboomer. I'm still hopeful. It was not my intention to hurt anyone but to warn newbies against traders that have been discussed on this board in the past using the search engine. Just good old fashioned "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you".

I just want to say thanks for the very good advice! So far,

I haven't gotten ripped off yet. I do searches for bad traders

like you suggested. It is well worth the time.
