I was just wondering if there are any gardeners here? I love to garden. Let's share our tips and talk about plants, and flowers here. I am trying to grow some spring flowers. I have tulips, and marigolds, and a few pansies are still alive. Although it will be getting too warm for them in Texas soon :)
I have one tip that I know... To keep dirt out of your finger nails, take a bar of soap and scratch it with your nails to get soap in there than do your gandening and the soap will keep dirt from getting in them and also clean then pretty nicely :D

Is gardening a lost hobby. I think it's very theraputic. Working out in the dirt, having something grow and bloom into a beautiful plant or flower it's very rewarding :)
Pitooey 03-27-2003, 08:38 PM Gardener here (Raises hand)...

Moonlight Lady 03-29-2003, 03:22 PM I love gardening, I'm more into growing flowers than fruit and vegetables. I do love fresh vegetables. Maybe I'll try growing them some day. I just bought one of those flower mats from my nephew. His school was selling them.
Flowers and shrubs i've planted:
Lilacs-my personal favorite--They smell sooo good. I have a purple one in the front, by my bedroom window, and one in the garden in back of the garage.
Azaleas (not sure if I spelled it right) Orange in the front yard
yellow in back.
Blue Fescue-in the backyard
Clematis-deep purple and magenta growing up one of the trees in the front yard.
I also have crocuses and hyacinth in the front yard.
THere's a nursery, not even five minutes from my house and I go there every spring and go crazy buying plants.
Mijada 03-29-2003, 06:01 PM I like flowers and stuff. I'm thinking of getting some flower pots and putting them on my balcony this summer. I don't have much room though.
-*Leah*- 03-29-2003, 06:10 PM My mother has always planted lots of flowers and stuff at my house, and I really like to plant flowers too. Every summer I always get me a flower pot and put me one of the prettiest flowers that I can find out of her flower beds and stick it in the window sill in my room. They're so pretty! :) ;)
Crimson and Clover 03-29-2003, 06:16 PM i like to plant flowers
Pitooey 03-29-2003, 10:59 PM Right now in my front yard....... I have these great tulips that will come out soon. They are called Pinnochio tulips. The color of the tulips is orange and it has these great leaves (Green with a purple stipe). I can't wait till they open up. I'll take a photo of them when they open up.
I also can't wait for my hyacinth's to open up.

Your boyfriend is supposedly a farmer. Doesn't his job involve gardening?
I'd at least think you'd help him plant some crops, but then again you're probably too busy drinking milk and remembering your name.
