Anyone else excited about Phone Booth right now?? For people who don't know Its about a Man (Colin Farrell) who gets a weird phone call on the street and is told that if he hangs up he will be killed because the caller has a Rifle pointing right at him. Its directed by Joel Schumacer who is a crappy director and tottally screwed up the Batman movies but Its still number one on my list for must see movies. It comes out on April 4th but I can't wait that loooooong!

This movie looks alright. Kiefer Sutherland is the guy who's talkin to Colin Farrell on the phone threatening to kill him. Forest Whitaker & Richard T Jones are also in this movie as cops. Richard is the black guy who plays on Judging Amy tv show. The white girl from Dawson's Creek tv show is also in this movie. What's her name?

Joel Schumacher is a good director. This is Kiefer's 3rd movie with Joel. He directed Kiefer in The Lost Boys & Flatliners also. I liked both of those movies a lot.

Does anyone know the running time?

around 85 minutes. well when you think about it. It sounds boring, but It'll probably keep you guessing and wondering whats gonna happen next. Do you think they'd just have a Guy talking on a Payphone for an hour and a half? No! stuff is gonna happen along the way

Irishman Farrell Rings Up U.S. Box Office Honors
Sunday April 6 3:04 PM ET

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Irish actor Colin Farrell, one of the hottest new stars in Hollywood, dialed his third consecutive No. 1 movie at the North American box office on Sunday as the thriller "Phone Booth" finally reached theaters almost five months behind schedule.

"Phone Booth" rang up $15 million in ticket sales in its first three days since opening on April 4, according to studio estimates issued on Sunday. Farrell plays a New York publicist who picks up a ringing telephone in a phone booth only to learn that he is in the sights of a sniper.

The movie, which cost a modest $13 million, was pulled from its original Nov. 15 berth because real-life snipers were terrorizing the Washington, D.C., area at the time.

"Considering the journey this picture has taken, I'm just totally delighted with this result," said Bruce Snyder, president of distribution at the film's producer, Twentieth Century Fox.

Farrell topped the box office twice in February with "The Recruit" and "Daredevil," thereby giving "Phone Booth" some visibility that it may not have had five months ago. Also in that time, the outspoken 26-year-old Dublin native has become a staple of the gossip pages.

The film also marks a comeback for director Joel Schumacher, whose career hit a slow patch after his disappointing "Batman & Robin" movie killed off the lucrative franchise in 1997.

Fox is a unit of News Corp.'s Fox Entertainment Group Inc .

BOX OFFICE BLUES

Overall box office sales slipped for the fourth consecutive weekend on a year-on-year basis, according to data from tracking firm Exhibitor Relations Co. The top 12 movies grossed $84 million, down 10 percent from last year and down three percentage points from last weekend. Industry observers continued to blame distractions of the Iraqi war.

Last weekend's champion, the urban White House comedy "Head of State" fell to No. 4 with $8.8 million. The film, marking the directing debut of its star, Chris Rock , who plays the first black U.S. president, has tallied $25.3 million after two weekends. The $35 million production was released by privately held DreamWorks SKG.

Newcomers also grabbed the Nos. 2 and 3 slots. The teen comedy "What a Girl Wants," starring kids TV staple Amanda Bynes , nabbed $12.1 million, while the Vin Diesel drugs drama "A Man Apart" opened with $11.2 million.

"What a Girl Wants," in which 17-year-old Bynes plays the long-lost American daughter of a British peer, played strongly to its target demographic of girls and young women, said Dan Fellman, president of distribution at Warner Bros. It was budgeted in the $20 million range.

"A Man Apart," which Diesel finished in early 2001 long before vaulting to international stardom last summer with "XXX," revolves around the drugs trade in Los Angeles and Tijuana. It performed according to expectations, said a spokesman at New Line Cinema. Both Warner Bros. and New Line are units of AOL Time Warner Inc .

"CORE" MELTDOWN

Steve Martin former No. 1 comedy "Bringing Down the House" rounded out the top five with $8.5 million, and a five-weekend total of $111.3 million. It was released by Touchstone Pictures, a unit of Walt Disney Co .

The two other movies that opened last weekend did not show much staying power, each losing about half of their audience. "The Core" in which the heroes must journey to the center of the earth to save the planet, fell three places to No. 6 with $6.3 million and a 10-day total of $20.9 million. The $60 million film was released by Viacom Inc.'s Paramount Pictures.

The John Travolta military thriller "Basic" followed at No. 7, also down three places, with $5.4 million for the weekend and $20 million for the 10 days. Sony Corp's Columbia Pictures paid producer Intermedia Films $19 million for distribution rights in North America and Japan. Intermedia is a unit of Germany's Internationalmedia AG .

New releases next weekend include "Anger Management," a comedy teaming Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson ; and "House of 1,000 Corpses," a violent horror directed more than two years ago by rock star Rob Zombie.

I saw Phone Booth and I thought it was good. I thought the plot was interesting that the whole film just focused on what happened around a phone booth. I also thought it was written well, because to try to go for a long time focusing on a phone booth, it was amazing that the film didn't get boring after awhile. I definetely thought it was worth seeing. For anyone who still hasn't seen it and has been thinking about seeing the film, you should definetely go see it.

Wow, this movie was great!
I was surprised at how good it was; Phone Booth's a must-see!

The only thing I have to comment on is the way the frames were set up. I think they could have done a better job in that, but otherwise it's an A+!

Phone Booth was a very good movie. It was quite an accomplishment to keep the suspense going so strong with just a guy in a phone booth, but they did it.
I didn't realize it was Keifer Sutherland's voice as the sniper until the end. I could have kicked myself.
Colin Farrell is quite an actor--handsome too. He'll be around for a long time.

Phone Booth came out on video tuesday so i'm definitely gonna rent it. Basic with John Travolta & Samuel Jackson also came out on video tuesday. Colin Farrell is gonna be in SWAT next with LL Cool J, Michelle Rodriguez, Samuel Jackson. It comes out in August. I think August 8th it comes out. I wanna see that.

Phone Booth was a terrible movie. I rented it yesterday. It sucked. I can't believe the cops didn't catch Kiefer Sutherland at the end. When it went off, i was like this is the end? The ending was terrible. How could they not catch Kiefer? They killed the wrong guy which was the pizza delivery guy who tried to deliver a pizza to Colin at the phone booth. It also didn't make sense to me that Colin had a cellphone but he'd rather use a phone booth everyday to make a call. That's why Kiefer had him pegged cause he knew that Colin used the same phone booth everyday. I like the part with the hookers too. That one black girl that was a hooker played on The Wayans Bros tv show.
