Anyone who has The Lucy Book:
Why isn't the week Lucy did on Password Plus w/ Betty White, Dick Martin, & Desi Jr. (the one on this week on GSN) in there? Am I missing it??
Anyone else:
When were those episodes? I think it said 1981 at the end, so was it before or after Allen died?

Lucy said on the "Password Plus" episode that aired yesterday that her grandson, Simon, was nine weeks old. I know he was born in December 1980, so this show must have been from February or March 1981. And speaking of shows not included in The Lucy Book, aren't the fall 1986 "Super Password" episodes, that GSN is airing this week right after the Lucy "Password Plus" episodes, also not included? It actually doesn't surprise me that these shows aren't in the book. Contrary to what that book claims, it does NOT include ALL of Lucille Ball's television appearances. There are some appearances made by her that even I remember that also aren't included in the book. But I still have to commend the writer on what he does have. It's a remarkable book. But I think it would be nearly impossible to get ALL of her TV appearances in there. In the last few decades of her life, Lucille Ball spent almost as much time on TV as she did in her house, so to track down every single one of her television appearances, I doubt if it could be done.

Thanks. I thought I was losing it.
There is a SP episode in there, and I assumed it was the same one, but now I'm not sure, because that was Dec. 1986, and LWL was cancelled in Nov. Hmm...

Those "Password Plus" episodes, BTW, were taped after Allen Ludden was no longer hosting the show, but before he died (he lived for about another 8 months after his retirement).

Those "Super Password" episodes were taped after "Life with Lucy" started, before it was cancelled, but were aired after it was cancelled. You see, during taping they more than likely made the the assumption that several shows make. This assumption is that you will at least make it to 13 weeks, as that is how many episodes it's picked up for, and how many are taped originally. This show, however, didn't.

Thanks all!
That one Super Password episode (well, week of episodes) that's in that book can't be the same one they showed because it was taped the day Desi died, December 2, 1986. By then they obviously knew LWL was cancelled.
