Last thing he did was that UPN show called Grown Ups which was canceled in 2000.

Nothing he is in will sell-LOL-NOTHING at all. Jaleel White will never escape the ghost of Urkel.

I hear he isn't really like his character on Family Matters is that right? He doesn't act like a nerd, more like Stephan, (I think). Tell me if I am wrong though.

. . . in fact, he is the EXACT OPPOSITE. I saw him on some talkshow as I was channel surfing one day and I couldn't believe it was the same person because he is the total, exact opposite of his character. It made me wonder if he was really like that in real life or if he tried to be over-compensate, so to speak, just so that he wouldn't be associated with Urkel. It almost struck me that he was trying real hard to be cool so that it would be easier for people to forget that he was Urkel.

I really can't stand the later episodes where Steve does all the strange things. To me, the show just became totally bizarre.

I don't remember, but I swear I saw him in something recently, I think he had a cameo in Agent Cody Banks or something.

The Stefan character was what Jaleel White was in real-life. The whole nerd affect was made to make the show funnier.

Grown Ups wasn't a bad show! I thought it was quite good. I didn't see him as Urkel playing that part. But he definately needs another role to separate himself from the Urkel character, other actors have been successfull doing it he shouldn't be any different.
