As of 0800 tomorrow morning, I will be gone, at least for a little while.

Just remember, while you are sitting at home in your nice air conditioned home griping about the war there are those of us out there fighting to make sure you still get the opportunity to gripe about it.

thanks everyone. I'm really glad I'm finally leaving. There is nothing worse than being told you are leaving, then being told the transport had problems (way to go AF) and then sitting around for another 2 weeks having to watch on tv what you should be doing. I hate doing nothing when I feel like I could or should be doing something.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that the ones that told me to leave here didn't post on this thread, huh :D

Ags - fyi, tell everyone...we have been told that for the first 30 days we are only allowed letter size envelopes...ie, letters, postcards, video's, etc. after 30 days we will be allowed packages up to shoebox size. Remember its going to bfe and don't send anything that might melt :D

i'm sure by 30 days, good ideas would be....chapstick, baby wipes, razors, ciggy's, beef jerky, trail mix, powdered gatoraid, porn ;), any type of letters, cards, etc. CALLING CARDS! We will eventually get to a phone, and a collect call from that far away will suck :)

Whatever you wanna send is great...the more the better. It sucks being in a place like that for 6 months (give or take) and not having anyone write.
