You got to remember that different people have different opinions. Some people aren't going to like her (I can't understand why?!) and then there are going to be people who like her.

That and don't believe everything ya read! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

This is the way I look at it. People have two moods; their work mood and their play mood. In general, unless you REALLY like your job, your work mood is going to be worse and harder to get along with than your play mood simply because you have a job to do. Lucy being the perfectionist was naturally not going to get along with people who didn't possess the same work ethic as her. Workaholics and the more relaxed don't see eye to eye often.

Did any of that make sense?

Well, even if she was a little huffy at times, I still love Lucy! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif I'm b*tchy sometimes when I'm not having a good day, and hey---everyone has off days. Aside from being a little negative sometimes, that book is pretty good.

A couple days ago there was this 1 1/2 or 2 hour special about Lucy's whole life. I dont know what it was called, but it was copyright 2000 and the ending credits scrolled up the screen in the B&W heart. It had Carol Burnett and Edie Adams & Doris Singleton, and the writers. But I CANT REMEMBER WHAT IT WAS CALLED! It saw it on Detroit Public TV, so I dont know if anyone knows what this was. Anyone? Anyways, they had footage of Lucy on the set of the Lucy show where she was telling the directors what to do, and I dont think she was bitchy, just more of a perfectionist. She was a very hard worker.

It was called Finding Lucy, it was part of the American Masters show on PBS. I saw it too, and I don't think she was being bitchy either. She knew she had a job to do, and she did it. I liked the special, but it totally glossed over her later years, like most Lucy specials. I wish someone whould do one on her later years as well. Most die-hard fans no little about her later years. Maybe Lee Tannen's book will shed some light on this. Sorry if I got too much off topic!!
