View Full Version : posing Nude
MonarC 03-24-2003, 06:27 PM Do you respect if an actress or actor decides to pose nude?
many have and it has helped some of their careers but is it really neccessary for them to do this in order to become more famous?
Kristina 03-24-2003, 06:28 PM I don't have a prob with it, btw I don't think it was a good idea to post that... I don't think it's allowed..
pandora_spocks 03-24-2003, 06:29 PM Yes, but such a wonderful pic of Angelina Jolie!

dawsongirl 03-24-2003, 06:31 PM I suppose if they wanna...doesn't mean I have to look. :p
I'd like to think I got by on my talent, not my nudity.

Nah, I vote for Angie! :p
It's their decision if they decide to pose nude or not, but I think their talent in acting is way more important. Posing nude for magazines is like selling your body. It's like they show no respect for their body by posing in a magazine for the whole wide world to see.
Mossopp 03-24-2003, 06:34 PM I think MonarC is just looking for an excuse to post pics of naked chicks!
I do kinda lose respect for people when they pose nude. I am of the opinion that you should always leave something to the imagination.
Crimson and Clover 03-24-2003, 06:34 PM i dont have a problem with it.

Kay Scarpetta 03-24-2003, 06:45 PM I don't care what the hell they do, personally... I don't look at that stuff. lol.
FOLrocks1 03-24-2003, 06:59 PM Is that the only picture? LOL JK! I think that it's their choice, and if it wrecks their carrers....then oh well.
As said before, you don't have to look at it. It hardly destroys children like they say it does, so who cares?
I don't lose respect for them, but it usually demonstrates they're desperate for fame. If they do it at the height of the career, it's just perplexing.
ABlairican Pie 03-25-2003, 01:45 AM HELL YEAH I RESPECT THEM WHEN THEY POSE NUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 03-25-2003, 02:10 AM Depends on the celeb. If like, Pamela Anderson posed nude itd be like, oh wow who cares.. but if like, The Olsen Twins did a double page layout for their 18th birthday... itd be like meangya I lost my respect for you two.
Mysty Eyes 03-25-2003, 02:20 AM A lot of it would depend on the poses and the photo layout. If done tastefully, it can be quite artistic. If it's crude... well... it's crude.
The photo shown in this thread with Cindy Crawford and other models is fairly artistic. The B&W photography is nice, and though you do see skin, that's pretty much all you do see.
I have absolutely no problem with anyone posing nude. If that's what they want to do, more power to 'em.
Especially if it's a really hot chick.[/TESTOSTERONE]
Nanny Fine 03-25-2003, 10:12 AM I have no problem with it. It's a form of artistic expression and if the model (male or female) has the body for it, go for it! I dont think any less or more of them for doing so.
Tuscadero 03-25-2003, 01:16 PM I think the human body can be one of the most asthetically pleasing art forms. I wouldn't hold anything against anyone for posing, but I do agree with all who said that something should be left up to the imagination.
I'm actually a big supporter of that idea. I actually find men more attractive in a three-piece-suit than naked on a beach (or whatever) when I first see them...it piques my interest. Being naked is nothing without a personality. Look at Marilyn Monroe--she was sexier (and remains to be sexier) *clothed* than most people who pose nude today. It's all in the imagination...it keeps people wondering and wanting more. To me, that's what it's all about. Nowaydays, you can show almost anything on television and we're all desensitized by it--like I said, I'd rather see Cary Grant in a suit!!
