Could there be a consideration to add a Chit Chat War board for the time being?

I dont even like coming to this part of the board right now because it's inundated with war posts. I read online news about the war, it's all over TV, I dont mind a post or 2 but it's infiltrating a "fun" board for me (and I know others) and I'm staying away because of it. (And if I have to read another anti Bush joke/post I might actually heave).

I think this will tone down of its own accord soon, Will and Grace Fan. And I'm pretty sure that Jem is done with the joke threads. Right, Jem?

I agree. I'm a little tired of the war threads myself, especially Jem's "Bush Sucks!!!" threads. Enough with those already!

I want to add my agreement. I click on to the board, see the thread titles, and then click right back out and move on to another site. No... I don't even bother to look at the other forums on the site. I leave the site altogether.

Another thing that's messing up Chit Chat is the ridiculous Appreciation threads. They're just another form of random posts.

Can someone explain to me what the "deal" with the appreciation threads and random posts are? Is it just to boost your posting number? I'm getting a headache weeding through all the bunk on the board trying to find a post I want to read and respond to :(

exactly! i dont even look at half the threads anymore... :mad:

I know I agree!!! I mean yeah i agree with freedom of speech too.. but that has gone a little too far.

I think it's a great idea! It should be named Chit Chat - Politics.......

I don't really respond to the war threads that often...they ARE getting a little out of hand. I agree, there should be a separate board for them.

I must admit I don't read the war topics either. Maybe once in awhile, but I don't read every single thread. This is a big part of the discussion now and I think it would be a useful part of the board. Look at all these topics. We have war topics, Bush topics, etc and they could all go to the Politics thread. Add me to the list of people who wants a Current Events/Politics board.

I agree, I think they shuold make like a current events/news board. I am tired of people postiong things like bush is a moron or bush this bush that and everything!
