View Full Version : The reason the Spurs may win the NBA championship
TVFactFan 03-23-2003, 03:43 PM The main reason the Spurs may win the NBA title.
They have two 7 foot players and one of the 7 footer can shoot, run, pass, and defend. The Spurs will be hard to beat in a 7 game series.
isiahthomas 03-24-2003, 01:15 PM The Spurs aren't getting far in the playoffs cause they always do well in the regular season & then when playoff time comes, they choke as usual. David Robinson is a liability. He sucks. Tim Duncan, Malik Rose, Stephen Jackson, Tony Parker, Ginobili is all they got. I wonder why they don't play Steve Smith a lot anymore. Bruce Bowen is alright too, he can hit threes & he can defend.

No team in the west is beating the spurs, including the kings. The kings are 0-3 against the spurs.
isiahthomas 03-24-2003, 07:33 PM I keep trying to tell u regular season means nothing. We'll see what the Spurs do in the playoffs. If they play the Lakers in the first round, that's gonna be a good series. All the Spurs have to do is let Shaq & Kobe get their's & shut everybody else down & the Spurs will win the series.

isiahthomas 04-10-2003, 10:36 AM Speedy Claxton was a good pickup for the Spurs. He scored 16 points last week against Detroit in a victory. They don't call him Speedy for nothing, that dude is quick. The Spurs have the best record in the west now since they won last night against Portland & Dallas got blown out by Phoenix 112-89 LOL. Dallas's defense is horrible. Only shot blockers they have are Raef Lafrentz & Shawn Bradley. Raef had 4 blocks last night but Shawn didn't get any LOL. How can a 7'6 dude get no blocks? Hahahahahahaha.

Tony Parker nailed back-to-back jumpers with less than two minutes to go and sank two free throws with 35.1 seconds left to provide the Spurs some breathing room en route to a 91-83 win over Utah on Monday, as they clinched the top spot in the Western Conference and the NBA's best record. Parker had a game-high 25 points and Tim Duncan just missed a triple-double, scoring 21 points, grabbing 15 boards and dishing nine assists. The Spurs will host the Phoenix Suns the first round of the playoffs.

I don;t think the spurs are playng thier starters because the Spurs already clinched the number one seed in the west. So the game really won't beas HUGE as we all thought.
isiahthomas 04-17-2003, 09:16 AM The Spurs got spanked last night by Dallas 93-72. Tim Duncan & Stephen Jackson didn't play. That's the reason they got spanked. Spurs play Phoenix in the first round. This should be a good series. I want Phoenix to win this series cause i like Shawn Marion, Amare Stoudemire, Stephon Marbury, Penny Hardaway more than Tim Duncan & soft ass David Robinson.

MonarC 04-18-2003, 10:55 AM Steve Smith led the way with 11 points and Tony Parker and Steve Kerr tallied 10 a piece as San Antonio wrapped up the regular season with a 93-72 loss to Dallas on Wednesday

The Suns are SCARY!!!!!!!!!!
isiahthomas 04-20-2003, 08:14 AM The Spurs are some chokers. Tim Duncan was 3-8 from the free throw line yesterday. He missed two critical free throws at the end & Tony Parker was 3-6 from the free throw line. He also missed a critical free throw near the end. Tony had a very bad game yesterday. My boys Shawn Marion & Amare Stoudemire both had 24 points. Shawn also had 3 blocks. Stephon scored 26. Stephon is the man.

Even though Stephon made that long shot-the Spurs probably wouldn't mind being in that situation again. I mean who usually makes a three like that? Running down the other end of the court with 3 seconds left and hitting a 3 pointer off the back board. Something like that never really happens.

:crying::crying::crying:
After Phoenix forced overtime, San Antonio appeared to have things under control, but Stephon Marbury sank a desperation trey as the Spurs fell 96-95 on Saturday in Game 1 of their playoff series.
San Antonio had a chance to gain breathing room with less than 20 seconds to go, but missed four foul shots.:livid: Stephen Jackson had 23 points and David Robinson added 18. San Antonio will try to tie up the series Monday at 7 p.m. (TNT) at the SBC Center.
Man I can't believe Duncan let us down man! :nonono: He better get it together by Monday and Tony Parker too... We WILL WIN the next game

isiahthomas 04-21-2003, 11:49 PM David Robinson better hurry up & get back on the court for this series or else the Spurs don't have a chance. They barely did beat Phoenix tonight. Stephen Jackson & Speedy Claxton played very well tonight. I wonder why Steve Smith isn't playing at all. Stephon Marbury has Tony Parker's number. Tony can't do nothing with Stephon. Stephon had him in foul trouble tonight. If Amare & Shawn Marion would've had a good game tonight, Phoenix would've won again.

Kenny Smith said it right when he said the Suns became too impatient in the 4th-which is true because they were up 7 points and rushing shots-WHY? that really confused me.
isiahthomas 04-28-2003, 09:06 AM Suns won last night 86-84 hahahahahahahaha. Jake Voshkul hit the game winning skyhook. Stephon had 18 points & Shawn Marion had 17 points. Amare only had 7 points, he fouled out. Phoenix is really giving the Spurs a hard time. I still hope Phoenix upsets them.

I actually fell asleep because the Spurs were up by 12 and I just knew it was over. But the only way the Suns can win this series is if they steal Game 5 at San Antonio. There is no way the Suns are winning a Game 7 at San Antonio
