What's your least favorite episode? I rarely watch SABRINA now, but I remember a semi-recent one where she is at a circus or something & some juggler gives her advice on a spell.
Awful!
And Of course the earliest episodes & the Aunt Vesta one are all terrible. That wammi fammy piece of garbage ... oh God...

There just hasn't been a lot of good episodes this whole season. With the aunts leaving, it just is missin something. :(

I do not have any least favorite episodes.

Even the final episodes without the aunts? I tell 'ya ... I was literally bored out of my mind during that circus episode. It was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo slow; and it really showed how much of a B sitcom actress Melissa Joan Hart is.

I loved the one with Aunt Vesta. She was a good character and the Pleasure Dome was awesome.

My least favourire episode is Beach Blanet Blingo (or whatever) because it has that beyond cheesy singing crap in it and the 60s thing was just dumb. I also didn't like "Driving Mr Goodman" and "The Competition" either.

The Aunt vesta one was alright, but that whammy fammy stuff is just plain garbage. I mean, which writer risked his/her own reputation for that one? :)

Oh yeah the wammy fammy stuff was dumb, not gonna disagree with you there. They used that "song" in a couple of first season episodes. Why I'll never know.

The writers were probably rushed; they couldn't secure rights to any mainstream songs; there ya go

LOL. I think Nick Bakay (the voice of Salem) wrote that episode. I agree, that episode was downright painful to watch!

Here are the WORST episodes of "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch," in my opinion:

1.) "Pancake Madness." [season 3.] This was the episode where Sabrina got addicted to pancakes. The jokes and writing were too juvenile for my liking.

2.) "Boy, Was My Face Red" [season 3.] This was the episode where Valerie burped in front of a guy, so Sabrina put an "anti-embarrasment" spell on her.

3.) "Sabrina's Real World" [season 3.] This was the episode where Sabrina got her own other-realm reality show. This was downright PAINFUL to watch.

4.) "Dante's Inferno." [season 2] The episode where Sabrina goes out with a mortal-hating witch named Dante.

-- In a nutshell, those are my least favorite episodes.

Oh yeah ... that pancake song is about as good as that whammy fammy crap LOL

Along with the final season, I also must add the very earliest episodes to the list.

My problem with Sabrina is that the show was too tame. It's not until the college years that we first hear the first swear word; and it isn't even a real swear. It's "Hell."

If Sabrina was in the '80's or before, it'd be considered the norm not to use minor words like "damn" or "Hell." But now, a mainstream sitcom being so tame is just strange.

Hell ... even "Cosby" uses "damn" once in a while :)

I know. But it wasn't really the show's fault. Melissa Joan Hart and company wanted to do shows with more "adult" topics, but Archie Comics (which owns the rights to the "Sabrina" character,) wouldn't let them.

That's why I prefer the WB years to the ABC ones - the show became a bit spicier when it jumped networks (the Zelda as "Mrs. Robinson" segment, anyone?)

Oh yeah, that makes sense. It completely slipped my mind that Archie owns the rights; and it'd only make sense that a children's comic book wouldn't wanna risk its reputation.

I admit ... the show does get loads better when Sabrina moves to college; the Aunts aren't as funny, but the show as a whole matures sooooooooooooo much.

Until both Aunts leave. Then it just gets stupid and boring. Although Melissa Joan Hart is the star, she isn't one of the best. The Aunts are the ones that really carry the show.

Worst episode..... probably either Magic Joel or My Nightmare, The Car.

I liked that they stayed away from swearing. Even minor swear words can be bothersome if they're used too much. That's one thing I didn't like about the last season. Also, keep in mind the word "b****in'" was on the show in the second season. It was in the lyrics to a song. I don't remember the song, but the episode was "Witch Trash."

As for my least favorite episodes. Hmmmm. I never cared much for "House of Pi's." Even though, I'm a fan of Natalia Cilguiti, who appeared in that ep, the rest of it was kind of dull, well except for Salem trying to appear in Hilda's show. Lol. And I was never that into the last season eps. Especially, "Spellmanian Slip." I thought that one was dumb, though I liked the harmony dance.

Aw, I liked that episode! I thought that the special effects were great, and the storyline was cute, too. It was ten times better than all of those episodes where Sabrina was working at "Scorch" magazine.

And, of course, Nate Richert was in "Cirque Du Sabrina," and that's another reason why it's a great episode. :D

Seriously, it's worth just watching the episode for Harvey. He looked so ripped and buff in all of those final shows! ::swoons::

Well, as a guy, I couldn't say :)

IMO, the circus episode is boring and very very slow-moving. By now, the show is missing any feel-good underlying comedic element (ie the Aunts) and without this, we finally get a full example of how much of a B actor Melissa Joan Hart is.

The effects aren't great, either. STW has always been a very very very low-budget show, and its greatest special effects are used during the high school years.

Yeah, I agree that "Cirque du Sabrina" was, at times, at a bit slow-moving. But I thought it was cute, and it was still better than that Scorch Magazine garbage they had earlier on in the season.

I also agree with your comment about Melissa's acting. And while she was never the greatest actress to begin with, she was, IMO, even worse in season 7. She started rushing through her lines, and she generally looked like she didn't care anymore. Did anyone else notice this?

Who knows - maybe, after playing the same character for 142 episodes and three TV movies, she just got tired of the show.

I think this is true for almost any show that has major cast changes. Look at The Andy Griffith Show, Happy Days, Spin City (in that case, it's the Mayor, Stewart, Carter, Paul and Kate who seem less "in to it" after MJF leaves), etc.

The chemistry is just lost; that's another reason.

And anyway, just like STW, the writing on programs that have major shifts in casting tends to get a whole lot worse.

Actually, to be honest, I prefer the first seasons at the university to many of the high school episodes. They do seem to be better written and contain more maturity.

But then, after the Aunts leave, all H#ll breaks loose.

They should've cancelled the show when the aunts left. Season 7 was weird and there were more bad episodes than good ones. STTW just doesn't work without Hilda and Zelda.

My Nightmare, The Car Ugh don't you guys hate it when for a while, ALL Sabrina would do was go ON AND ON AND ON about wanting a car? I can't believe how long she dragged that out for. One episode about it fine but all through season 2 and even some of season 3 she was obsessed and the writers went so overboard with it. I hated that.

I hated that, too. But I don't think there were that many episodes about Sabrina wanting a car, though - maybe 4 or 5 episodes at the most. Why did Sabrina want a car, anyway? She could just use her magic to go wherever she needed to go.

One of my favorite episodes, though, is "The End of An Era," which is the one where the Aunts finally buy her a car. I thought it was so funny when Salem stole the car and ran into Mr. Kraft.

I have to admit that the show kinda lost me, after Sabrina went to college. I didn't like the fact that she was so resistent to using magic. I mean, really, I would love to have her powers.

All of season 5. Sorry...no Harvey...no go.

I didn't mind Josh as a character, but I didn't like him with Sabrina. Well, actually he was worse with Morgan, but still. Sabrina  Harvey and anything else sucks.

I would rather see Harvey with Sabrina then Josh... but for some reason I don't like Harvey. He doesn't act like a very good boyfriend. He seems to always be too worried with his own problems and not have time for Sabrina. He treats her more like a friend then a girlfriend.

Yeah, it was pretty unimpressive...considering I can't remember a single episode from that season. lol Well, except that beach one, but I think I only remember that because Harvey was in it for like, 4 seconds, and I was shocked to see him back the first time I saw it.

The series finale: The actress who played Zelda should not have been absent in that episode. it is lame and abrupt!
