View Full Version : Nick at Nite
paul_belmonte 03-22-2003, 10:36 PM Wouldn't it be great if Nick at Nite were airing "Married...with Children" instead of FX? I know it would be, for me. Which is why I think that we should start a petition telling NAN "We Want Married...with Children!!!!!!!!!"

First of all, why would N@N air a show with a dysfunctional family?????????. Your post didn't make much sense.
tony_the_tiger324 03-25-2003, 07:17 PM nick at night is going to start airing roseanne and their a dysfunctional family

Married with Children is not N@N material-The End
Freakzilla 03-26-2003, 12:53 PM "Married... With Children" is too good for N@N. All N@N wants to air during primetime are shows starring Bill Cosby. But any other channel would be better than FX. On FX, they pre-empt MWC for "24" reruns. FX also likes to squish the end scenes of episodes to the bottom of the screen with no audio so can advertise "The Shield".

I don't think a married with children fan wants to see MWC on N@N. N@N will only cut all the funny out to make it suitable for a a family watching N@N.
ClassicTV4Ever 03-29-2003, 12:19 AM I agree that MWC isn't suitable for N@N. It's just way too raunchy and I'll bet they'd edit the heck out of it. Roseanne has no business being on N@N as well.

Let's take it easy and repect his post. However SOLOMON, I have to agree when you say"MWC is not NAN material. The END!" I pray to God that it never happens.
Electric Slidewinder 04-02-2003, 06:15 AM I personally think it doesn't fit the N@N format.
They'll probably edit & riun the series.
So "Married...with Children" stays on FX for a couple of years. (I hope)
BTW, N@N & TV Land also squishes the "end part" of shows to put promos or what's coming next.
I would prefer it to stay on FX for a while.
Then it could be in N@N. (I wait and see if they edited Roseanne, coming later this year)
ClassicTV4Ever 04-02-2003, 09:37 PM The show just needs to be released in season sets, period :)
Mrs. Ducky 04-03-2003, 05:34 PM NAN airs All in the Family and I don't call yhem a very functional family!

tell me about it. and that show was way racist too. always going on about black people. - if you would watch Roseanne, it's not bad and it's suitable for N@N...

If you paid attention to the show, you would know that the show wasn't racist, it was Archie who didn't like nobody. It wasn't just black people that Archie made fun of, it was Mike, who was Polish an other people.

That's not the point. The point is that MWC is way too RAUNCHY. Meaning that there were a lot of sexual references and situations. It's just not N@N material.

I agree to a point. I think the EARLIER episodes of Roseanne would be suitable for N@N, but the later seasons...nuh-uh.

I don't think All in the Family shoudl be on N@N either, it's in the same group with MWC & Roseanne.
But All in the Family doesn't deal with the sex topic constantly like Married with Children. I never seen Roseanne so i can't comment on it.
douglasjc 05-18-2003, 01:46 AM I love Married with Children, but I do not believe it should be on
Nick at Nite because N@N would ruin the show. Besides editing
it to the point where commericals take up more then half the time
period, I cannt imagine they would play some of the most ranchy
episodes such as:
1. The episode where Al, his family & Steve Marcy go on a fishing trip and the women get their monthly visitors. They spend the rest of the time discussing the women's natural cycle.
2. the infamous Francine of Hollywood episode where AL and Steve go to Francine of Hollywoods for Bra, but find men dressed up in kinky outfits.
To be honest these are extremely funny, but it would very difficult for N@N to play such episodes without provoking controversy
As for Roseanne, I believe that N@N will censure it to death and will not play the lesbian kiss episode. How I know this is true is because N@N has never shown the 1977 rape episode of ALL Family in which a rapist attacks Edith.
Skywalker 05-18-2003, 02:18 AM Thats not true. I watched the episode of all in the family with the rapist on n@n about a year ago.
douglasjc 05-18-2003, 02:50 AM Personally, I have not seen the controversial 1977 All of the Family episode on N@N. However, if it was shown it has given faith again in N@N because N@N seems to cut or not show such
hot topic shows.
However, I still believe the jokes and acts on MWC are way to hot to be touched BY N@N, especially since N@N is supposed to a kid's channel during the day. TVLand I believe would show it.
Freakzilla 06-04-2003, 04:55 PM I agree about TV Land. That network is now superior to N@N. Some of that may be because Cosby doesn't yet have an interest in TV Land. They'd probably be more open to the controversial material if TV Land ever picked up MWC. Also, unlike N@N and FX, TV Land tends to show most, if not all, of the episodes of their shows.
M82A1 06-06-2003, 10:54 AM yeah, I don't think that N@N would air "The A-Team" because of it's excessive violence, but TVLand airs it. I think MWC would suit TVLand very well.

Scooter22 07-13-2003, 10:57 PM You know. This show should be on at Nick at Nite.

Brent88 11-06-2003, 03:52 PM MWC is too vulgar for N@N. It is much worse than most episodes of Roseanne. FX is the perfect place for it...
