View Full Version : Game Show Video Games
paul_belmonte 03-22-2003, 06:24 PM In the 1980s, Nintendo Entertainment System was the most popular game around. Not only did they make games such as "Super Mario," they also made video game versions of such game shows such as "Double Dare," "Hollywood Squares," "Remot Control," "Win, Lose or Draw" and "Classic Concentration," just to name a few. I have all of these games through the NESticle harddrive online.

Brett Ferino 03-22-2003, 06:47 PM Yeah. I know. I remember that they had that for Sega Genesis, SNES and all current ones as well. I rented the Family Feud one made in 1993 for SG a few years ago. I happen to own the WOF one and I cant play the games any more since it broke 2 yrs. ago..
Cashodeen 03-22-2003, 10:45 PM I forgot all about Double Dare on NES. I never owned it, but my friends did and I also would rent it. I gotta get to funco and buy that! One of my favorite games was from a board game--pictionary (anyone ever play that on NES), but funcoland never has it!--they better have DD.
dawsongirl 03-23-2003, 01:42 AM I want FF for NES. I actually still have my NES.
Sterling Holobyte 03-28-2003, 11:35 AM I have "Who wants to be a millionaire" and "Jeopardy" for Playstation one, and I used to have "Jeopardy" for Sega Genesis. I think I like the Genesis version better, actually, you could change the categories if you wanted to!
yankeedog79 03-30-2003, 10:03 PM I used to have Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, and Hollywood Squares for NES. Then, I had Family Feud, Wheel of Fortune Deluxe and Jeopardy Deluxe for Super NES. They were all from GameTek.
theshark8777 03-31-2003, 09:32 PM I used to have Family Feud and Classic Concentration for the Commodore 64.
yankeedog79 03-31-2003, 11:03 PM I had a Commodore 64 too. I used to have Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy for Commodore 64. Me and my father used to play Wheel of Fortune on the C 64. In school, I used to play Wheel of Fortune and Family Feud on the Apple IIe.
theshark8777 04-01-2003, 09:08 AM I hated the Apple IIe, the only game I remember playing on that was Oregon Trail.
yankeedog79 04-01-2003, 11:21 AM I remember playing Oregon Trail on Apple IIe. Then I played the same on Macintosh.
Cashodeen 04-02-2003, 01:44 AM I remember playing Wheel of Fortune on Apple IIe in school too. We also used to play Carmen San Diego. The Oregon Trail back in those days was weak. The newer versions are pretty deece. You eat poisonous berries, get rabies... all the good stuff! JK, but you can fish. It's super.
I used to always get eith "Wheel of Fortune", "Jeopardy" or Family Feud" for the NES or Super NES and what have you, but nowadays you can find these classic games on CD-ROM. The games I got on CD-Rom are:
Wheel of Fortune
Jeopardy
Family Feud
Who Wants of be a Millionaire?
The Weakest Link
the $100,000 Pyramid
I wish they had CD-ROM versions of other classic game shows like "Cl;assic Concentration", "Card Sharks", "Press your Luck" with you can find on www.crossbearer.com, and "The Price is Right". I would kill to have those games on my comp!

Brett Ferino, we don't need to keep on topic all the time! :p Someone brought up Apple IIe before and yankeedog79 just mentioned Oregon Trail afterward. (Dang, am I sticking up for the corndog with the bad Lingo joke a while back? )
yankeedog79 05-28-2003, 07:16 PM I'm no corndog.
OK. Let's get with the subject. Last week, I got the Wheel of Fortune CD ROM for MAC. I have a Powerbook G4. The WoF CD is great.

You probably don't remember, but I called you a corndog a while back when you made some joke on a a Lingo thread. So I called you a corndog on this thread just for laughs.

yankeedog79 05-29-2003, 05:02 PM I remember being called a corndog with that Lingo thread. Is being a corndog a bad thing?
