I was wondering if Family Matters is still coming to ABC Family??? I know that both TBS and WGN have cut down on the episodes shown.

September 2003 is when it will come to ABC Family. TBS and WGN will lose it by then.

Oh dear, don't you know that if they show "Family Matters", they will cut out the funny tags at the end of some episodes? They did it with "Step by Step". It like they play the show, and when the show's over, they cut to the production company and then they have bumpers for ABC Family's lineup with the credits shown to the sides. Okay, if they're gonna show it fine, but expect a lot of unnecessary editing to be done.

Is this a tag of family matters? When steve moves in with the winslows instead of going to Russia and then he starts dancing with the russian hat on his head and then breaks the table. would they cut that out you think?

I'm referring to the scenes that they show while the credits are rolling. They are still part of the show and provide an ending for the episode. These scenes are funny. ABC Family will cut those out when they obtain the rights, which is unnecessary. Same thing they did with "Step By Step"

Tags or no tags, are you guys sure FM is still coming to ABC? I can't find anything that confirms this. However, I did find something about a TV drama called 111 Gramercy Park coming to ABC this fall that Jaleel White will be in...but I'll just be so sad if Family Matters is completely taken off all networks. :(

No word on the start date and timeslots yet for Family Matters on ABC Family.

111 Gramercy Park is coming in mid-season now on ABC, and with a new name and cast. So looks like Jaleel White will not be in it. He did the pilot, which will be re-shot.

ABC Family's September line-up is in and Family Matters isn't on it. I guess it will come in October or maybe they won't air it at all--but they do have the rights. I'll try to find something out, and as soon as I do, I'll post it here. TBS loses it after September 6.

Oh sweet... yes, I just noticed WGN dumps it September 10th. At least they actually show the series finale, TBS just ends it in the middle of the 8th season.:mad:

What about WB11? This will run out of contract before moving to ABC Family. Next week, TBS's "Family Matters" will be gone including all affiliates espceially WB11. Tell me?

WPIX will still air it. They will air it Saturdays at 12 and 12:30pm this fall. I noticed you have been going around and saying WPIX is losing rights, which is NOT true. Don't do that.

Wow! I like your schedule for Steve Urkel and his show for ABC Family. WPIX still airs it on Saturdays from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM this fall on my local tube. TBS will end all episodes of "Family Matters" starting this Saturday.

This is sweet... 6 days a week! 10 episodes a week!!! Man, TBS only shows 7 episodes a week.:lol:

I want to correct myself, I was under the impression it was two episodes each on Saturday and Sunday, turns out it was just one, so it's 10 episodes a week.

WPIX has only one episode per weekend.

It's still the same time slots. Though, on Friday, November 21 6 and 6:30 p.m. Friday is added. Not sure if it'll air every Fridays too now (Nov 28 is a movie marathon) in December.

Maybe it will every Friday starting then!!! I couldn't understand the Monday through Thursday thing anyway... November 28th is probably a movie marathon because it's the Day After Thanksgiving.

Im happy with what ABC Family is doing with Family Matters, and I hope it lasts a long time.

As long as it gets decent ratings, it will be on ABC Family for at least a couple of years. I'm not sure how long they have the rights to air it for, but it's probably in the range of 2 to 5 years.

November changes:
Fridays 6 and 6:30PM added, in addition to the already Mon-Thurs slots. Weekends 12:30PM removed, replaced by Step by Step.

Whew... I am quite speechless. How is ABC Family going to air Full House while N@N is? And what in the world happened, Family Matters(IMO) demoted to 1pm ET? Yuck...

I like the TGIF specials though...

As you can see from Pav's edited post, the TGIF specials and Xmas episode special on Dec. 21st has been removed and so has Family Matters from the weekend lineup beginning 12/28.

No changes in January... still will air Monday-Friday from 1 to 2pm ET. The info is under the December schedule on the General board, but nothing affects Family Matters.
