View Full Version : Lucy's new home
This morning when I was watching The Honeymooners (another classic) the commercial on TVLand came on, welcoming Lucy to her new home. TVLand already sounds like their treating Lucy with much more respect, the respect that a show a half century old deserves, than Nick ever did. I only feel sorry for who doesnt have TVLand. Can you call cable and say "Take me to TVLand!"? That was their slogan when it first debuted. Maybe it'll work. But each town is different. The city closest to Wyandotte (where i live) doesn't have TVLand. So it all depends where you live. You could probly find a relative or friend with TVLand.
CherryBombK 09-04-2001, 11:21 AM Osh, you're from Wyandotte? I'm in Garden City, MI and we have got basic Comcast Cable (which comes out of Taylor I believe). TV Land is included in the basic Comcast cable (thank God!).

dawsongirl 09-04-2001, 03:30 PM I saw that commercial last night during Adam-12 (which is on at 3am). I was trying to fall asleep when I heard Lucy's voice. Woke me up quick, which was bad because did I mention it was 3am?
Pavan 09-04-2001, 08:33 PM Nick at Nite always treated Lucy well up until 2000 or so, I think it was time for it to move on TVLand, and it's better since it will be on in primetime.
Hey, CherryBombk. What a small world. Im in Wyandotte and your in Garden City. Im a freshman at U of M - Dearborn. Usually on the internet, unless its your friends, you don't meet people so close to you!
CherryBombK 09-05-2001, 03:03 PM Osh, that's so cool! Even though I'm getting sick of Garden City LOL. What's your major?

CherryBombK, my majors gonna be meteorology (the weather). P.S.- Were gonna have another severe winter.
dawsongirl 09-06-2001, 05:45 PM Meteorology? Cool. I wanted to be one when I was younger, but then I got to school and realized how much physics was involved. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/frown.gif
CherryBombK 09-06-2001, 07:04 PM Oh no! Not another severe winter! LOL I'm so glad I'm moving next year....

CherryBombK, we may have Lucy in common, but we sure don't have winter in common, LOL! Its my favorite season. I love snow. Where are you moving next year: college, or just moving?
CherryBombK 09-07-2001, 02:38 PM Osh, you can have your winter but I wanna go somewhere where it isn't 80 degrees one day and 40 the next! That's good ole Michigan weather for ya! LOL
My family is moving to Knoxville, Tennessee. I still have 'til 04 for college. I'm thinking of going to Nevada for college.

Terry Ross 09-08-2001, 07:51 PM dawsongirl - - - 3:00AM? I get up two hours after that.
That's why we're never on-line at the same time.

Technically, I was supposed to get up at 5:45 that morning for my early class, but I had insomnia, so I got up thinking maybe the TV would lull me to sleep. Trust me, that's too late even for me! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
