What are some ways are favorite sitcoms should have ended? Some did not have the opportunity for a real series finale because they were canceled at the last minute ala Married with Children and Diff'rent Strokes. And some just had bad endings.

"Seinfeld" should have had a different ending. Jerry and George should have made their tv show and moved to Californa and the show would have more closure.

"Cosby" should have had an ending like "Newhart". In the last episode, it should have revealed that the whole show was a dream of Cliff Huxtible. Would have been perfect since his wife his played the same actress and Cliff has the track record for having weird dreams, ala the episode with the muppets.

"Three's Company" should've ended with Jack and Janet getting married, and the old characters such as Mr. Roper, Chrissy, Mrs. Roper, Lana, and Cindy coming back for the ultimate episode! I bet it would've been one of the most watched finales if that happened...

"Full House" ... I have kinda a weird idea, but it would've been interesting if the kids found out that their Mom wasn't really dead

The Last Episode of Happy Days Should have had Ralph & Potsie in it. It was an awsome episode, but Ralph & Potsie would have made it better

The finale episode of The Lucy Show should have had Vivian and the kids back. It would have made the finale episode so much better.

Sam and Diane should have married in the finale of Cheers.

The Jeffersons should have had a finale, period.

I agree that the finale of Three's Company was lame.

They actually did do an episode like that but it was the final episode.

Explain to me what you mean sitcomwriter. They did? I never really watched "Cosby". Though I am now starting to watch it on WWOR channel 9.

I know in one episode the wife of Bill Cosby character on "Cosby" dreamed she was Clair Huxtable in the end of an episode where the Bill Cosby character dreamed he was in I Spy.

The last episode of The Facts of Life should have ended with Tootie & Jeff getting married and Mrs. Garrett coming back. The regular ending episode sucked it was all about Blair. I like her but we should have seen all the characters not just her.

Batman should have ended with Batman and Robin telling Batgirl who they were and to see if she wanted to join them to be a full crime partner instead of a crime fighter that comes and goes.

Popular should have ended the damn cliff hanger. We never knew who Harrison picked and if Brooke died or not. Plus Merry Cherry found out Ru Paul was her father that would have been hilarious if they would have played that out.

The Brady Bunch - It would have been good to see Marcia, Peter, Jan, Bobby, and Cindy graduate from Westdale High. (Heck, I'll throw in Cousin Oliver for good measure!)

Family Matters - It would have been nice to see the actual wedding of Steve Urkel and Laura Winslow.

Leave It To Beaver - It would have been cool to see Beaver Cleaver go through high school (and college).

Perfect Strangers - It should have had some more seasons. It would have been nice to see Larry and Jennifer raise Tucker Appleton and Balki and Mary Ann raise Robespierre Boinky Bartokomous.

The Waltons- It should have incorporated Michael Learned in the finale. (She left during the second-to-last season, and three Cousin Oliver types--Rose, Jeffrey, and Serena Burton--moved in.)

The Wonder Years - It should have at least ended with Kevin, Winnie, and Paul graduating high school after one more season. If I had to guess, that would be the earliest point for the series to consider jumping the shark.

I miss this show! We were supposed to get like some short TV movies to tie up everything but that never happend and its too late now! The show was getting better what killed it was the Friday Night time slot. I never got to watch it there, Thursday was better. IT was so great with B-Ho! I want to know if Brooke died or not.

Wings- Lowell should have returned, Antonio and Casey should have been dating, and Joe and Helen shouldn't have left the country.

NewsRadio- Bill should have turned up alive. (I know that wasn't humanly possible, but still...)

Taxi- Should have had one, period.

On All In The Family/Archie Bunker's Place, they should have ended the show with...

1) Archie and Katharine getting back together and getting married.

2) Billie and Gary getting back together and getting engaged.

3) Jean Stapleton appearing as Edith in a dream sequence.

4) Murray returning from California with Marcie and becoming Archie's partner again.

5) Veronica returning after a year long absence.

6) Mike returning from California, falling in love with Gloria, getting married again, and living in Fox Ridge.

and finally
7) Stephanie getting into the High School for the Performing Arts.

The WB is stupid, I remember all those rumors about the movie to tie up the loose ends but that was only a rumor nothing stating it was true. I did read some where that Sara Rue (Carmen) said in an interview Leslie Bibbs character died. I think that was on the E! website.

Well, I like the ideas for 4, 5, 6, and 7, but I just don't know about 1-3. I know it would be a final ep, but I just wouldn't be able to stand seeing Archie married to another woman. In my mind, it's always Archie and Edith. Yeah, Edith might've died, but it's always gonna be Archie and Edith to me.

The last episode of The Facts of Life should have ended with Tootie & Jeff getting married and Mrs. Garrett coming back. The regular ending episode sucked it was all about Blair. I like her but we should have seen all the characters not just her.

Yeah, I agree with all of that. Batman's last episode kind of sucked, if you ask me. I wanted them to reveal who they were too.

With FOL, it looks like a plain episode. It's almost as if the next season would focus on Blair and the school and that was where her character was heading. The whole ep just looks like they had the thing done and someone announced that they were canceled and the writers got together and tossed in the 2 minute wrap up for Jo, Tootie, and Natalie.

Nat wasn't even in the last two minutes. Instead they had Pippa. :barf: Apparently they couldn't do without her in the picture, but with Natalie, they could.

Oops, I goofed. I've only watched that ep once, maybe twice, but that sucks Nat wasn't in the last two minutes.

Now that I rememebr more of the episode, she wasn't in it at all. She had like a 2 minute phone scene in part one, but that's the last time we heard of her! She was on the show for 9 years and this is how they say goodbye to her.

Umm Chris that was in part 2 Jo answered the phone it was Nat and then Tootie got on the phone and talked to her telling her she was going to London or what ever.

Natalie was in part 1 and part 2 of the finale.

Really? It's been months since I've seen that episode, so I thought she was just in part one. I don't know why I can't rememeber her in part one then. Oops, sorry..

In part 1 she was in the beginning of it and asked if she could take stuff with her when she moved. Then in part 2 right in the last minutes with all the girls Nat calls and Jo picks up and they talk then Tootie gets on and tells her to get off the phone so she can call Jeff. Then that big chicken walked in and Jo thought it was Rick in a costume. Rick then showed Jo a small camera and took a picture of the girls together - Jo (giving Blair the bunny ears), Blair, Pippa, Beverly Ann, and Tootie. That's all I remember of it.

This is a good question. I did not like the way Seinfeld ended. It was too...cheesy. I almost think it would have been better to just end it without doing anything special, ya know?

Roseanne's ending was a shocker for me. I hated that last season, although all in all Roseanne is one of my favorite sitcoms. I think it a very interesting ending, but it was too sad. it should have been a more comical ending.

I may reply to this again later if I think of something else.

I was very disappointed by Seinfeld's ending & I didn't like the last NewsRadio either.
