A few months ago, I heard that CBS is planning to air a special in November to celebrate the 50th anniversary of "I Love Lucy." Does anyone know if this is, in fact, true? If so, do you know the exact date of when it will air?

Yes, it is most definitely true. Lucie and Desi have a great feast in store for U.S. Lucy fans (wish it would air in Australia!). Some extraordinary guests, and some familiar faces, go to amazing places to bring you a Lucy special like no other. It will air on November, but the exact air date is not out yet.

The upcoming LucilleBall.com features a section on the I Love Lucy 50th Anniversary Special. Stay tuned!

I thought the 50th Anniversary special on CBS was going to air October 15, the same date ILL premiered in 1951.........

I can't wait for this; it should be fabulous!

That was what had originally been planned. But Lucie only returned from London a few months ago, and they had to push the air date forward a month to allow them the amount of time they need to make this special up to the scratch they want.

So, to make this special the "ultimate" Lucy documentary, Lucie and Desi had to allow themselves more time.

This should be amazing! There are some BIG names involved, and filming has taken place all over the world for this 2 hour special.

It is 100% correct. I know people who are working on it. And expect to see the 50th anniversary celebrated on "Good Morning America", "The Today Show",and "Early Show".

It will be a big event.
