All the people that have been nominated deserved to be, but I think that one actor was VERY overlooked. Richard Gere, for "Chicago." Is there anyone else that didn't get enough credit for their perfomance in a movie?

I agree, Gere shold have been nominated. but, this is confusing, at the Oscars in 1993, Gere spoke against Chinese in Tibet, it said he was banned till further notice, so is he still banned from academy award ceremonies? I doubt it, but would like to know. Maybe banned from speaking again.

I'm surprised that Tom Hanks wasn't nominated for Road to Perdition. The Academy loves him, and I think he gave a great performance.
I'm also surprised that Road to Perdition wasn't nominated for Best Picture.
Jennifer Aniston's performance in The Good Girl was Oscar worthy. I didn't think she had it in her to be honest.

Adaptation*
Richard Gere, "Chicago"
Marshall Mathers (Eminem), "8 Mile"
Alfred Molina, "Frida"

*for best picture

IMO, "8 Mile" was seriously underrated.
