Hmm, i don't remember.

I think I remember them saying they meet at State College. I don't remember if it said exactly how they meet though.

Ward and June met in high school because Ward gave June an orchid when she was sixteen years old. He must have thought quite a lot of her even then because he wanted to surprise her with a special corsage and he had to sell his stamp collection to get the money for the orchid. We learned about this in episode #105, Wally's Orchid (one of my favorite episodes).

In one episode of NLITB, I remember they flashbacked to when Ward and June first met. I'm not sure how old they were, or even if it was consistant with LITB, but it was rainy, and I think Ward offered June the cover of his umbrella or something, and he was asking what her name was. She said it was a month, and he guessed April.

I may be remembering this wrong, but I think that's what happened!

In episode 223 "Wally and the Fraternity" June said they met in college, like dustin1175 mentioned. Obviously the stories were not consistent. I remember reading a post on here about the Beaver series in the 80s where June said in some episode how they met, and it was different from the two mentioned in this thread. Not sure about that one though, because I don't remember that "New Beaver" episode.

That is a great episode. It's weird though, because Pamela Beard, who played Mary Ellen Rogers, is the girl that Wally takes to the dance. But her name isn't Mary Ellen, it's Myra. :confused:
