The new disks are good, not that there was much doubt of that! The flubs are a little pointless again, but they are quite interesting to see, I suppose. I can't help thinking that the inclusion on set of a magazine featuring, rather oviously, Lucy and Desi on the front cover wasn't a flub so much as an in-joke though, especially given how obviously it's set up to face the camera! Some really nice extra animated footage; I love those old bits! Good collection of episodes too - don't think I've seen Lucy Writes A Play before. Check out Ricky in the first half of Fred And Ethel Fight, too. He keeps giggling! I don't know if it's because of the cleaned up DVD version of the episodes though, but the make-up doesn't have look obvious in some of the close ups.

I just hope that one scene everyone cuts out of Fred and Ethel Fight is on the DVD.

Which one's that?

Just watched Breaking The Lease. I think it's the first time I've seen that one, or possibly it's just been so long I've forgotten it, but the scene where Ethel and Fred come in with bits of ceiling all over their heads and shoulders is a scream. Both Desi and Lucy lose it in that one!

What store is it?

DVD store you mean? I use play.com, which is UK and Europe only. Any Amazon store should be carrying them though.

It's this like 15 second throwaway line that Ricky says to Lucy when she's telling him her plan for the evening at the very beginning of the episode. He looks past her like he's looking thru her and says something. ??? It's been so long since I've actually seen it that I can't exactly remember, but it bugs me just the same.

Do you mean when he wonders if there's anything in her head? He looks through it, and says that the picture on the far wall is crooked. That's there. The DVDs are supposed to feature fully restored episodes, so nothing [I]should[/I} be edited.

How strong's your accent? Or would I have to pretend to have permanent laryngitis?

I have the plainest American accent you can find. I talk like a newscaster.

How thick is yours? I can fake a pretty good English accent. The non-Cockney type, though with practice I could do it. :)

I was brought up to speak very properly - your stereotypical English accent, really. Amuses me, though, that you should talk of the 'non-Cockney' English accent! I guess a lot of Americans don't hear many British regional accents - there's lots more besides just Cockney you know!

I know, I just couldn't think of what any of the others are called! :) Besides the accent you have, the one I'm most familiar with is Cockney.
