Why did Flo leave Mel's Diner? Was it to star at the new show "FLO" or did she have other reasons?:confused:

A little bit of both. The producers wanted Polly to have her own spinoff of her character. Also,Linda Lavin and Polly didn't get along with one other during the 1979-1980 season,either personal or professional reasons. BTW: Diane Ladd, Polly's replacement,played in the movie version of Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore.
