Which landlord do you like better? Mr. and Mrs. Roper, or Mr. Furley?

I can't really choose. I loved both of them. Mr. and Mrs. Roper's sex jokes were funny, but I feel that if they were in all 8 seasons, their one sex joke would kind of wear out. I liked Mr. Furley too, and I'm glad he spent 4 seasons on the show. So, what are your thoughts?

The Roper's...They were the best...But i still love Mr. Furley

I prefer the Ropers even though I like Mr. Furley a lot. Both landlords had great jokes. I enjoyed the Ropers on both TC and their spinoff.

Mr. Furley because he was funnier I think. But I liked the Ropers too.....

For me, it's kind of like when you see the Ropers...you like them better. But when you see RF...you like HIM better. So I guess that would mean I like them both the same. :)

Mr. Furley

Good Question. If any of you have read some of my other posts you know how I rag on replacements and newer things, but I think maybe Three's Company is gonna defy the odds. My favorite seasons are the ones with the Ropers, but that's not because I favor them. I liked them almost as well, but Mr Furley is tops.

Oh man this is a hard one. Great question SomersCompany3! I would say I like Mr. Furley a little better than the Ropers, because I think Mr. Furley was more hilarious, but I think Mr. Ropers jokes were a little better, so its very close, but my favorite of the two landlords is Mr. Furley.

Oh geez, that's a tough question. I might have to go with Mr. Furley but the Ropers were pretty darn funny too, especially when Stanley would crack a joke about his wife and then grin into the camera. They're almost about equal but I think Furley was funnier, but only by a slight margin.

Ropers jokes got overused.....definitely Mr. Furley, I like Furley a looooooot better

I like both the Ropers and Mr. Furley a lot. I like it when Stanley looks into the camera and grins when he makes a joke and the exchanges between Stanley and Helen were hilarious. Mr. Furley,he was a character,as a matter of fact,anything that Don Knotts does is hilarious. How about it when they had the Three's Company spoof on 8 Simple Rules where John Ritter's character was in bed and he thought that he was talking to his wife and then in a scene similiar to the one where Mr. Roper is in bed with Jack,Mr. Furley is in the bed with him. That was hilarious!!!:lol: If I had my opinion, I would call it a draw on both.

I liked the Ropers, I liked the way Stanley and Helen worked together to tease and make jokes about each other.

I love the Ropers, especially HELEN, and like Mr. Furley. :)

Yeah, it's kinda confusing, but they definitley changed his character after Chrissy [sadly] left the show.

I liked them about the same. The Ropers were great when they were on, but then Mr. Furley came along and he was great too. Furley, IMO was alot funnier though, I love Don Knotts! :)

:) The Ropers were the best landlords on Three's Company. They were funny with their jokes and bickering. I loved how Helen dressed up in those long colorful hippie dresses and how she whined about how Stanley never paid attention to her and how cheap he was. I liked the way Stanley did his Tinkerbell impression and the camera grin impression. I was very sad when the Ropers left for their own show and later it cancelled. :( The Ropers kick ass!:cool:

Mr Furley is the best on Three's Company he a nicer Landlord.

Yeah, they did change him. But I thought it was for the better. Mr. Furley was so mean to the kids in season 4, imo. I liked it when he finally loosened up a bit afterwards.

Mr. Furley was very funny but I really liked the Ropers better, there was just great interaction between Mr. and Mrs. Roper that Mr. Furley alone could not do.

When I was a kid I used to like the Furley years more, but as I grew older I started to understand the humor of the Ropers.

Also, I liked the interaction between Stanley and Jack when it came to Jack's "fake" homosexuality, I didn't really like the interaction between him and Furley when it came to that.

I also think that the Ropers were the original Bundys. Mrs Roper was years ahead of Peggy's character in terms of her being a sex depraved woman and always making fun of her husband.

They were years ahead of Married with Children.

Mr. Furley

the choice is a most difficult one. each of these great men represent different things :eek: to me. i was born in afghanistan but made my way to western europe and three's company was the first show i saw, forever shaping my view of western civilisation. mr. furley with his crazy clothing and erratic behavior was so different from anything i saw in my village in afghanistan--after that i wanted to BE mr. furley. so i'd have to say mr. furley because he showed me after living in an oppressive society that ""life is a ball again!"" HA HA HA! but mr. roper was very funny too. in fact, i was shocked at first that he did not beat helen to death for talking back to him as husbands often did on afghan sitcoms. i thought that was really great. many thumbs up to them both.

Mr. Furley was funnier because he didn't really rely on just one joke like the Ropers did. He was more unique and he always made funny jokes about Jack being gay(or so he thinks he is). The Ropers were funny too but they just relied too much on their joke of not having whoopie together.

Furley is ok but I kinda preferred it with the Ropers.

I missed the Ropers when they left, but after I got used to Mr Furley, it wouldn't have been the same without him.....???

I agree with others that The Ropers use their sex jokes too often.

Mr Furley brought so much more energy to the show. He was more hyper and active than Mr. Roper. Stanley always seemed tired and mad.

Mr. Furley showed more emotion. Throughout the episodes, you see him happy, sad, angry, excited ect.. You even get to see him cry. Roper was just always mad.

One of the reasons I love the show is because of Jack's physical comedy and Mr. Furley helped take it a notch up. I love it when Furley does the "karate chops". :lol:

So, if I had to choose one a landlord, I will choose Furley.

The Ropers or Mr Furley, that is a tough one. I like them both but lean more towards Mr Furley. I'm a fan of Don Nots, and all the charactors he's played are great, but Mr Furley was my favorite.
