As if making 20 million a picture wasn't sweet enough, look at some of the swag the Hollywood hotshots are taking home Oscar night...
Nominees, presenters and performers at next week's Academy Awards will all pick up a goody bag containing $22,000 of luxury gifts. While Oscar-winners get to walk away with one of the famous statuettes, those left out this year get the consolation of an official gift basket containing a $1,580 watch and a $440 handbag. The handouts will also include vouchers for a $660 teeth-whitening session and a reclining chair worth $2,200. The freebies are given to the stars by companies eager to have their brand associated with the coveted Oscar brand.
Hey, if I can sit through the entire five hour Oscar show without falling asleep, can I get a cookie?

That's pretty cool, I wish I was an actor.
I will be sitting through 17 hours of oscar related program that day! I can't wait.

Talk about excess. A better idea would be to donate the 22 grand to the performer's favorite charity.
If I were rich, I wouldn't have a problem with that.

I don't think you understand Janice...
We're talking about a recliner!
Probably one of those really nice ones from Sharper Image with the built in heat and massage! Variable speed massage!
What are you going to sit on while admiring your Academy Award on a nearby shelf or mantle? A lawn chair? An ottoman? The floor? Eeeeew!

It's Ironic, celebs work hard to earn alot of money, so they can buy whatever they want, now they can afford it, they are given the things free. A tramp can't walk into a shop and get free stuff, when they deserve, a celebrity walks in and everythings no charge, with the store owner having their lips firmly stuck to the celeb's ass to get them to come back.

I always record awards shows. I don't have the patience to sit through all the song and dance and commercials. I just zap through them! A 5 hour show will be pared down to 2 hours by the time I am done with it!
