This was a really tough poll because I like all of these episodes alot! I finally selected The Haircut as the best because it was laughing out loud funny.

I'm gonna say...Captain Jack!

The Haircut. No Question. This is my ALL TIME favorite episode. I love it when Ward says "Wally, what do you know about this haircut?" and Wally replies "I think it'll grow back in a week!" :lol: That's the best episode! I laugh out loud whenever I see it. All of these are great ones though.

I chose The Haircut, but what about episodes from later seasons, such as "In the Soup"? When people think of LITB, they think of that episode.

yes...when you mention LITB they're like "oh did beaver get stuck in a soupbowl?" sad but i only saw that epi once...i really don't remember too much. TV land don't play it!

"The Haircut" is a good story, but there are 2 things that just don't mesh with it, or maybe they are 2 sides of the same thing. This is that Wally could not be that bad at cutting hair, even supposing he really thought he could do a passable job; and in fact Beaver's head looks like it was shaved in spots, or definitely cut down more than could be done with a pair of scissors.

Out of the ones we were given to pick, I'd say "THE HAIRCUT". Having stated this, I must say that the 1st Season is not my favorite by any stretch. I much prefer the boys when they are older, and would probably rank my favorite episodes nearly the same way I rank my favorite seasons, going from last to first.

For instance, I greatly prefer "Wally's Practical Joke", "Eddie's Sweater", "The Credit Card", "Wally's Weekend Job", and "A Night in the Woods" to any of the ones mentioned in this poll.

But that's just me. I know most of you like the earlier episodes. I just like the later ones because I think Eddie and Lumpy come into their own in seasons 5 and 6! They really add alot to many of the episodes during that span. Oh, and I can't forget the presence of Cheryl Holdridge in those later seasons - what a crush I had on her!!!! :loveya:

This isn't my fave episode, but I just watched the one where Julie had to drive Wally to the dance. At least Wally ended up riding along even though he didn't like the situation,,but his friends were sooooooo uncool teasing him about it! It served Lumpy right to get a parking ticket. Although when I watched it I was hoping Eddie would have been there, making his smart-aleck comments, too! That episode was ahead of its time.

According to Beav it was his first haircut, LOL! But that episode is really funny! The other one that make me LMAO is the one where he puts a voodoo curse on Eddie! BTW-has the Haircut been on yet? Didn't see in on TVLands schedule.:confused:

Yeah, I always wondered what Larry would have been like as he got older. Beav's friends weren't as funny as Eddie and Lumpy in the later shows.

I picked "Beaver Gets 'Spelled". It is a very funny episode. Who has ever been expelled in the second grade?:lol:
