This is just a question and I don't want anyone to get mad or offended, I just wanted to know the truth. I used to watch this tv show alot and I had a question about the people that were on this tv show. I heard that Penny Marshall and Cindy Williams didn't really get along with each other in real life. I don't know if that's true, but if it is, they sure did do a good job of acting like the best of friends on this show. :confused:

Well i don't know how Cindy Williams could be mad being second banana to Penny Marshall when her TV character Shirley Feeney started out as a sidekick to the TV character Laverne Defazio on Happy Days before they spinned off. So if Cindy Williams was mad I wouldn't understand why.

According to jumptheshark.com their lines were carefully calculated so that there would be no one-up(wo)manship between Penny and Cindy. I think the final straw was when they refused to let Cindy take time off when she had a baby in 1982 or 1983. That explains why she was only in two episodes for the final season.

I base her being upset about her "second banana status" on what I wrote in the first sentence in the above paragraph.
