I don't know about the rest of you but Dani's May calender has gotten me thinking about Louie.
I recently watched the hypnosis episode when Ed almost marries Flora
I just love the way Louie is obviously enjoying a good laugh at the jokes Chico has tols Ed to say and then again on the piano bar episode when Chico is doing his Igor impression.
I can really tell that Louie is enjoying his work on that show!

Louie was definately a plus for the show!
I loved the way he comes in singing "Here comes the bride...don't try to hide!" in the Hypnotist episode!

I also loved his ranting and raving about the "dirty mural" (in the episode that Rich Little was in)....where he is so offended by the nasty picture and was yelling about how it belongs in the trash! That was priceless! He sure put a lot of feeling into his acting!!

The man had a lot of talent!

I loved the character Louie is laughter and happy attitude was always such a challenge with Ed. Louie was always up beat against Ed's grumpiness

 Well, as you all know, Louie is my favorite character because he was like a backup for Chico. Having to wrestle with both Chico and Louie, Ed didn't stand much a chance. Plus, and this is just me, Louie reminds me of my grandfather. I miss him so!:(

I totally agree. Louie was happy and upbeat--a direct contrast to the grouchy Ed Brown. Scatman Crothers played that role so well. His distinctive voice was used on cartoons such as The Harlem Globetrotters and Hong Kong Phooey. But for his role as Louie, I'll always remember his line "I'm the man who empties your can."
