I'm probably only thinking of it 'cause it's one of the recent DVD releases, but The Ballet is a good one. When she's doing the burlesque act in the flat and gets pied, you can hear Desi laughing really loudly, which I always think is really funny. Obviously the Bob Hope one is also particularly good.

It's hard for me to really decide on just one, but I will choose one not mentioned yet--"Ricky Loses His Temper." That's the episode where Lucy bets Ricky that he'll lose his temper before she'll buy another hat.

ed: I just looked this over... realized I put "be another hat" instead of "buy another hat." It any of you haven't seen this episode you probably thought, what in the world? ugh typos.

Yes, that's how I feel. There is a pretty recent thread on here about least favorite episodes, and I put the Scotland one. I also named the one with Orson Welles because I don't much care for that one either. I also wasn't a big fan of that Christmas one, but that never actually aired during the original run. I saw it on CBS in, I believe 1989, and then again during last Christmas season on TV Land.

There's honestly an episode called "Ricky Loses His Temper"?! Surely that's two thirds of the episodes made! :)

good one Mick, that was the one where he was trying NOT to lose it, right?

That's right, SPLAIN. That's funny Mickey mentioned losing his temper in two thirds of all the episodes made. I thought it was also funny an episode was titled that. Infact, I had trouble finding that title on the epiosde guide. Ricky actually avoids losing his temper much better than I could considering all the things Lucy did to get him to lose it. She, of course, couldn't hold out on her end of the bet, and lied about buying a hat. Very funny episode.

Watched 'The New Neighbours' today. More unplanned giggling from the troops. :)

Is that the one where she mentions they intend to BLOW up the Capitol? I saw that one right after September 11th and was shocked how timely it was even after half a century!

Yes, that's the one! By posing as Lucy and Ricky, they're going to go through with their plan to blow up the capital! Never let it be said that Lucy was lacking imagination. Despite (bcecause of?) that daft plot, though, there's some great moments in that episode. When Lucy pretends to be a chair, mainly (was that her in there, do you think, or a double? Either way it's hilarious).

Could probably pick holes in the storyline all day though. Mind you, if I was a terrorist being confronted by a food wielding Ethel with a collander on her head, I think I might run away scared.

The only other time Lucy appeared in a play, besides Wildcat, was Dream Girl in 1947, and Hayden Roarke was in that also. I LOVED him in I dream of Jeanie, isn't it amazing that Barbara Eden appeared on an I Love Lucy episode also? Country Club Dance i think it was!
