I found out that Bll Cosby owns part of the N@N network-I never knew that. So that explains why the CS is on 28 times a week.

I never knew that either, I guess that is why it's on so many times

Whoa, you mean it's true? Wow, I mentioned something about Cosby owning a part of N @ N because of his shows being on so much, but I was just being a smartass. Well, that sure as hell explains a lot about N @ N now.

I actually wouldn't have believed it if their schedule for next month still had Cheers on four times a night. I don't exactly like Cheers, but now it's stuck at a dead end 1AM slot while Wings, it's spin-off, is nestled in between Cosby at 10PM and 12AM. Also, Kids Say gives Bill two more slots. Who the hell wants to watch Bill 3 hours a night?!? Now don't get me wrong, I'm not prejudice at all, but the man is way too overexposed. :thumbsdow

Yeah, you summed it up pretty good. It looks like most of the shows will be overplayed and then dumped to a crappy time slot, just like Cheers. I bet TCS won't be treated that way. Nope, I bet it has a nice and comfy time slot for as long as it is on N @ N.

This seriously can't be a good thing. I really want some Bill Cosby fans to answer this one question. Do you get sick of the man? Maybe I work differently than other people. I'm not a fan of TCS or Bill Cosby, so I'm subsituting somebody else in. Let me think for a minute. Adam West, let me use him. Batman gets a crappy timeslot on TVL. It has that 4-5 a.m. timeslot, so I hardly get to see Batman. If Batman was on as many times as TCS, I'd be sick of Adam West and Batman. I don't care how you roll the situation. If you see your favorite show coming on 4 or 5 times per day, you're gonna get sick of it. It might be all cool at first, but one day you'll just look at the tv set and just say, 'Damn, I'm sick of this show.'

Kind of sad that a person could be a fan of something and some station makes you start hating the show.

Edit: I'm gonna veer off topic for a second, but I'm tired of this double take trend. I don't know what the problem is with this double take. It is easier to schedule, but a small station like N @ N should not operate with double takes. I don't think a 24 hour station should operate with double takes. You want some double takes? Set aside a 3 or 4 hour slot just for double takes (if it's a 24 hour station). If a show is in the double take hour, don't show it anymore. You can show it one more time in the early morning hours, but don't show it in a good spot at night. We could really get some variety back on tv, if some channels would do away with double takes.

Yeah you say that now, But how long before Fat Albert takes over Nickelodeon? Nick Jr is already being invaded by Little Bill, and Nick At Nite with the Cosby Show. The only commercials we will see on TV will be for Jello, and before you know it SNAP....Cosby Mysteries is back on the air. Bill Cosby is trying to take over the world and he must be stopped!

Oh my God, I completely forgot that Little Bill is on Nick Jr. Man, what is it with this guy?

Okay, I'm not the type to do dream schedules, but I want to do 2 dream schedules. I just wanna see what could happen, if they'd add some variety.

This is the NOW schedule. I'm looking dead at my tv guide to look at all the show. I'll add comments too.

9:00- The Cosby Show
9:30- The Cosby Show
10:00-Cheers
10:30- Cheers
11:00- Three's Company (That's what it has in the tv guide. That can't be right. It's actually a good show that gets a good timeslot.
11:30-Three's Company
12:00-The Cosby Show
12:30-The Cosby Show
1:00-Cheers
1:30- Cheers
2:00-All in the Family
2:30-All in the Family
3:00- Three's Company
3:30-Perfect Strangers
4:00-Head of the Class
4:30-Charles in Charge
5:00-Family Ties
5:30-Family Ties

Comments: Yeah, it looks pretty crappy from here. I want each show to get a decent timeslot. I want All in the Family to be dropped from N @ N and moved to TVL. That is why on MY schedule, I'm leaving AITF out.

9:00 p.m.- The Cosby Show
9:30 p.m.- Charles in Charge
10:00 p.m.- Cheers
10:30 p.m.- Three's Company
11:00 pm- Family Ties
11:30 pm- Perfect Strangers
12:00 am-Head of the Class
12:30 am- Add a new show
1:00 am- Add a new show
1:30 am- Add a new show
2:00 am- (Let's add a few double takes and I'm tossing out a bone here) The Cosby Show
3:00 am- Three's Company
4:00 am- Perfect Strangers (double takes stop here)
5:00 am- Add a new show
5:30 am- Add a new show

Okay, so that isn't the best schedule in the world, but it prob. beats what we have now. Next post is revamping TVL's schedule.

6:00 pm- Sanford and Son
6:30 pm- Sanford and Son
7:00 pm- Leave it to Beaver
7:30 pm- The Andy Griffith Show
8:00 pm- Brady Bunch
8:30 pm- Happy Days
9:00 pm- Sanford and Son
9:30 pm- Gilligan
10:00 pm- The Andy Griffith Show

11:30- The Munsters
12:00 am- MacGyver

1:30 am- Happy Days
2:00 am- Van Dyke
2:30 am- Barney Miller
3:00 Bob Newhart
3:30 Superman
4:00 Batman
4:30 Batman
5:00 Charlie's Angels

Here's where we really get to have fun with this schedule. Eh, you know, I kind of like the 6 am- noon shows. I like how they have them arranged. Gunsmoke for all the Western fans, but I will remove that 2nd airing. Love Boat is in an appropriate spot. Some of the shows like FKB and Donna Reed are kind of rare. Hardly see 'em on tv. They stay where they are. Now let's concentrate on the rest

6:00- noon Schedule remains the same
12:00 pm- All in the Family
12:30 pm- Add a new show
1:00 pm- MacGyver
2:00 pm- Superman
2:30 pm- Superman
3:00 pm- Batman
3:30 pm- Batman
4:00 pm- Archie Bunker's Place
4:30 pm- Archie Bunker's Place (Eh, I don't really know about ABP in a double take slot. It only ran for 4 seasons. Rotate it around twice and add a new show here.)
5:00 pm- Brady Bunch
5:30 pm- Brady Bunch
6:00 pm- Sanford and Son
6:30 pm- Sanford and Son
7:00 pm- The Andy Griffith Show
7:30 pm- Leave it to Beaver
8:00 pm- Gilligan
8:30 pm- Happy Days
9:00 pm- I Love Lucy
9:30 pm- Add a new show. Let's make this the Lucy hour. The Lucy Show isn't played all that much, so this spot belongs to The Lucy Show
10:00 pm- The Munsters
10:30 pm- Add a new show
11:00 pm- All in the Family
11:30 pm- Barney Miller
12:00 am- The Lucy Show (Yeah, I meant to put TLS.)
12:30 am- Add a new show
1:00 am- Charlie's Angels
1:30 am- The Andy Griffith Show
2:00 am- Happy Days
2:30 am- add a new show
3:00 am- Gilligan
3:30 am- Leave it to Beaver
4:00 am- Add a new show
4:30 am- add a new show
5:00 am- The Munsters
5:30 am- Sanford and Son

Okay, I think I got everything in. I made spots for some new shows. Again, my schedule isn't the best in the world, but it's okay.

Sounds like Bill Cosby really needs to get his own network if he makes N@N show The Cosby Show that much.

Maybe he could just buy a whole station and make it air nothing but his programmes. At least that would spare the only stations from becoming the Cosby Networks.

Really? I knew something was up, but I wouldn't have actually considered that he does own part of the network. Well, it just goes to show, what they will do to get their show on TV again, LOL. I had a feeling Bill Cosby had something, to do with Nick@Nite. I think we can all officially call it 'The Bill Cosby Network', LOL.

Nope,Bill doesn't own TNN. But Phylicia Rashad's ex-husband Ahmad is co-owner with Pamela Anderson with TNN.

Pamela: Baywatch and V.I.P.
Ahmad: Umpteen reruns of Real TV and him saying "Hi, I'm Ahmad Rashad and you're watching Real TV":50 times a week he says that.

These are the changes I would have made:
Dump "The Donna Reed Show", "Father Knows Best", "Gunsmoke", "Barney Miller", "Archie Bunker's Place" (that can move to Nick at Nite) and the Weekend Block: TV Land KitSchen.

Add "Laverne & Shirley", "Three's Company", and "The Lucy Show".

Well, truthfully, I'm all for new shows. I still think if TVL insists on having the Twice as Nice shows aired in Primetime too and some late night, move TAN back to mornings and move the morning block to the afternoon, that I would like the best. I do think they need to bring on the shows LucyFan mentioned, L&S got treated horribly by TVL. I have no doubt TC will come eventually, and I would love to see TLS on TV Land. TVL is making a major mistake not picking that up.

Aw geez, it's 2:22 am on March 21, 2003. All in the Family is supposed to be on. I turn it to N @ N and I see Cosby. I groan again. I ask one question, what the hell is it with this show? I also wonder if anybody could just sneak into the Nick at Nite building and snatch every episode of TCS and take a hammer to it and beat the film out of it. Do they have back copies? Have they duplicated each and every episode so many times, so it wouldn't matter if the master copy was destroyed? I once again question how many times they've shown each episode of TCS. How long have they shown TCS? It seems like it's been on N @ N for 10 years.

It's just starting. They'll have even more marathons and they'll keep it around forever. Why do they drive it into the ground. It's cool to like this show. I'm not bashing the show. I'm just bashing the fact that it's on all the time. Find some new shows before the Cosby fans get sick of it, before some of us barf all over the tv or before we take a hammer to throw at the tv set.

Edit: Have you ever wondered about a show that you see all the time? What would it be like to be locked in this small room, a tv set is high up on the wall (like how they have the tv sets in hospital rooms) and that one show that drives you crazy is playing over and over again. What would happen? You can't reach the tv set. You have nothing to throw at the tv set to break it. You stuff the end of your fingers in your ears and close your eyes tight, but you can still hear it and see it. How long would it take before you started screaming and begging for somebody to let you out? Idk why I'm thinking of this. It just popped in my head.

I'll stop rambling now. The fact that I'm watching Martha Stewart has made me ramble. I'll stop now.

Well, they did 201 episodes,at 2 episodes a night, the 11:00 and 11:30 P.M. episodes they air the next night at 9:00 and 9:30 P.M.,it takes 15 weeks to go through the cycle of shows, but since they are skipping shows, hard really to know now. I know it took only 5 weeks to go back to the Olivia episodes because of them skipping episodes.

Yeah, I went to bed early too. After I got done with the boards, I just went to bed. Late night hours usually doesn't have the best shows on. Midnight is the original Star Trek, which will be gone again pretty soon and 2 am is Archie. Geez, I won't even get to see Archie pretty soon. I'm sorry, I like AITF, but I'm not sitting up until 4 in the morning just to see one ep.

Why do I have this horrible feeling that when I'm old and gray, complaining about the government and my arthritis and wondering if I picked up my prescriptions, I will click on the tube and find The Cosby Show 22 Week Marathon just starting.

Besides, of course, there now being The Cosby Channel, Cosbyland, Cosby at Nite, Cosby at Day, Cosby at Dawn, and the games shows Wheel of Cosby and Cosbardy!

I guess I can dull the pain with a few Cosbopolitans.

Cosby Show even airs on two channels here everyday! And Little Bill airs on Nick JR a lot here too.

Bill Cosby should just buy his own network and air only his shows and commercials.
