Looks like all you statesiders will have to migrate down under to Australia. Our premium pay tv operator (Foxtel) shows "The Lucy Show" three times daily, seven days a week! It is screening on the channel Fox Classics (Ch.6) at 6:30pm Sunday-Saturday. Repeats of the same episode air at 4:am and 11:30pm daily. Not only that but they have only the rights to the first two seasons and Paramount Television has issued them as Brand New Digitally remastered video prints. The picture and sound quality (even the Black and white episodes) is sensational. The series has never looked so good! The episodes are mostly complete and uncut, and my only gripe is the distributing company's penchant for speeding up the end credits with an abridged version of Wilbur Hatch's great theme music! They have even resorted to audio dubbing the second year theme over the top of the original black and white episodes, as well as using a Black and white version of the Season 4-6 Kaleidescope opening theme (which is usually in Color) with the announcer's voice changed to reflect that it was "Starring Lucille Ball and Vivian Vance", not Gale Gordon! Aside from that it is great to see these old episodes again. Whilst "I Love Lucy" and "Here's Lucy" have been in a perpetual state of rerun, it seems Paramount has been holding tight to this Lucille Ball classic for quite a while. Great to see it back!!
