View Full Version : Jerry Matters the best child actor Ever Fred G Cleaver 03-17-2003, 04:50 PM noone comes close to him expect for maybe Ron Howard not even shirley temple comes close to them *InThisMoment* 03-17-2003, 05:24 PM i agree its close between him and ron howard.but i really love ron as richie cunningham.and jerry mathers as beaver. lukes42 03-17-2003, 05:33 PM I totally agree there. Both Ron Howard and Jerry Mathers proved to be exceptional child stars. I'm sure you're all aware of the fact that many child stars often ended up getting in trouble with drugs and the law, and their lives were never the same. Well, Jerry and Ron bucked that trend. And I believe they are two of the most respected TV stars because of it. At least they have my respect. :) Leigh Ann 03-17-2003, 06:59 PM I also agree that Jerry Mathers and Ron Howard were the best child stars. I don't watch Ron on Happy Days (although, I have seen a few episodes). I loved Ron as Opie Taylor on The Andy Griffth Show. And, I love Jerry Mathers as the Beaver. It would've been interesting if, back then, both Ron and Jerry were in a movie or if Ron guest starred on LITB, like he did later in The Waltons episode "The Gift," which is the saddest "Waltons" episode. .:BF:. 03-18-2003, 12:50 AM Originally posted by lukes42 I totally agree there. John Sterren 03-18-2003, 01:00 PM I agree. Pre-adolescent Jerry is great. (He is also great in Hitchcock's "The Trouble With Harry".) Pre-pube Lauren Chapin is also up there. |
