did they ever catch that jamaican guy who raped that woman then nearly killed her with a hammer. i think his name was wadadah or something. it was an interesting story. we havent had UM here for about 5 years so im waaaaaaay behind.

I have seen this segment several times, once very recently on a newer episode. However, there have been no updates that I am aware of. It is strange to me, being as I wouldn't think this man would be difficult to identify with his deformed hand. :(

But on a higher note, the girl in the case who was beaten survived the attack and pulled through with no permanent damage. That's a miracle, considering how badly she was hurt and how long it took for her to be discovered and taken to the hospital.

Something else I found interesting: Does anyone remember the actor who played Wadadah in the segment? He's an actor I've seen around on TV, and in one movie- The Naked Gun, 33 and 1/3. If you happen to see that movie, he plays one of the cab drivvers in the scene where Frank and Jane are looking for a cab from which they can call police headquarters. They pass up "Wadadah's" cab because he doesn't speak English.

I am so glad that that poor girl survived the attack! I agree- it is a miracle that she lived.

I am also surprised that they still have not found Wadahdah, the rapist. As one of you already said, he has that strange hand deformity, and that would make him easy to find, one would think.

I wonder if he may be in Africa? Some described his accent as perhaps Ethiopian. If he is in Africa, I guess that he may have more opportunities to hide from authorities. I hope that they catch him and punish him for what he did.
