Thanks for the warm wishes. Can you believe I woke up this morning and forgot it was my birthday. I have so many concerns on my mind these days. I was laying in bed this morning and after saying my prayers and thinking about what I had to do today, my hubby rolls over and wishes me a happy birthday. I was shocked to find I had plum forgot! LOL I guess that is a sign I am getting old.... won't be long before senility sets in and I start goin around like I'm really with Freddie.... hummm come to think of it, that ain't a bad idea! :lol:

There are those of us who grow old gracefully and then there are others of us who do it kicking and screaming. I am in the second group. At least with friends like you all, you make it a little easier. I probably wouldn't want to live my teenage years over, they were tramatic enough the first time around, but I hate the way the years (and the mileage) are playing havoc on my body.
My hubby got me something I have been wanting for a long time. I used to love a group called "YES" and they have a five disk collection out of all of their hits. They were big in the 70's. Since I grew up in that era, listening to them tonight brings me back to those days when life was a lot simplier and Freddie was still with us. (if you all don't know, I turned 45 today).
So here's to you, Freddie. You were a part of my youth and I always need you around when I go back and reminise what it was like when I was young and full of the future.

My birthday was fine, but it ended on a sad note. As you all know the president issued his ultimatium that night. I know everyone of you has an opinion about what is happening, but I also know that no matter what your opinion is, war is a scary thing. Please pray that this gets resolved quickly. I suppose I worry that, on top of the concerns for my family and loved ones, my son is of draft age. Let's join together with thoughts and prayers for peace.
