View Full Version : What type work schedule do you have?
Nanny Fine 03-16-2003, 06:27 PM I am sitting here wondering what type of schedule everyone works?
This is my first weekend off, full Saturday/Sunday weekend off since September. It went WAY too fast. I want it to last a couple more days. I work Monday through Friday from 3:00 until 8:30 and then usually weekends during season. Off season I work mornings, like 7:30 - 1:30 with all weekends off. I can't wait for that time to roll around again. I liked getting to sleep in and work on tapes all weekend :)
Mijada 03-16-2003, 07:07 PM Monday through Thursday from 6 am to 5pm.. Sometimes we will work on Friday from 6am to 2:30 pm.
Adamantium 03-16-2003, 07:48 PM 9:00am to 5:30pm Mon-Fri. Usually. However, on occasion I work Sundays at 7:00am to 3:30pm. But mostly and this week, 9 to 5. I usually get on the internet first thing. Because I have two sisters that like to get on. Although neither of them visit the Sitcoms Online Messageboards.

Woah, this is the first weekend I've had off since September too! Coincedience...<-I proabably just spelled that ALLL wrong. I usually work after school 3-8, and then on weekends either 11-3-8 I HATE those hours, 12-3-8 not too bad, or 10-2-6 I like these hours b/c I get home earlier. I'm sick of werk now! Work sux :( I'm glad I had my weekend off though...

3:45-4-shower
4-8-homework

That little hour in the morning between 7 and 8, during passing periods, and I have 45 minutes at lunch. The life of a procrastinator, it's tough but someone's gotta do it.

Only 6 hours of sleep? That's not very much. I try to get 7 to 7 and 1/2 hours; more on the weekend.
Fleet 03-18-2003, 12:50 AM Work:
Normal- Mon.- Fri., 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
Overtime (which happens once in a while):
Mon-Fri 6:00 AM to 3:30, 4:00, 4:30 or 5:00 (it can vary)
Sat. 6:00 AM to 12:00 noon
I'll tell you, it took a long time to get used to starting @ 6:00 (which means waking up around 5:05-5:10). I am not a morning person. I do like getting out at 2:30 PM. :)

I can function normally on little sleep. I also nap a lot during the day.

I forgot about the fact that some people only need 5 or 6 hours of sleep.
I also should have guessed about naps. I try to, also. Around 4:30 PM. They do seem to help.
Mysty Eyes 03-18-2003, 02:13 AM Regular hours:
Mon - Fri 9:00am - 5:00pm
1 hour lunch
no weekends
I put in the occasional extra time, but rarely more than an extra half hour.
CollegeGirl 03-18-2003, 02:44 AM Uh, I hate my work schedule. I usually work nights, but if day shift doesn't show up, I wind up working all night and staying to cover their shift as well. It has been nothing for me to work 16 hours, go home for 5-6, then go back for another 16 hours. I usually work anywhere from 33 hours to 65 or more hours per week (and we don't get any breaks). I also go to school full time. I'm an English Lit. major, and no need to say that my professors hate it when I miss class. I just checked my midterm grades, though and I've gotten all A's and one B. One professor did give me a grade and that really has me worried. I was a major role in a play, but because I never had time to go to rehearsals I was offered the chance to either "Work in tech or drop out." Oh goody, I just love ultimatums! But, I'm not even sure my schedule is going to permit me to work in tech. I'm in the process of trying to get two interviews secured for articles in our college newspaper, one guy is in L.A. (other side of the country from me) until May 1st. Second guy I haven't talked to yet. I emailed him, but he hasn't sent a reply yet. I will call him in a day or so, if I don't hear anything via email. I've got a 10 page essay due in 2 days which I have only a rough outline for and haven't started writing. Don't you always love when you find yourself starting a huge project the night before it's due?? I have written a short story for a state competition (judged by a writer who actually was on Oprah's book of the month list), but it hasn't been typed nor have I written the final paragraph. My grandmother has dimensia and is getting worse, and my mother is usaully always with her (that is, when she isn't working full time), so I find myself going to my grandmother's just to spend a few hours there and giving my mother a break. I enjoy my visits, but it takes away time from other things-- not that that's a bad thing, everyone needs rest now and again. Oh, I'm also writing my first screenplay (no need to say that it sucks, you all may take that as a granted).
Anyway, I've turned this into a whine and complain post. I'm sorry.
