View Full Version : I just got some tragic news
Fan of old shows 03-16-2003, 05:53 PM A friend of mine that lives in Pennsylvania died in a car accident. Right now i am just in shock and disbelief. I dont know how to take death very well, especally when its unexpected, like this. I only though that things like this happend to people you dont know. Anyway, I wanted to post this because I want to get my feelings out somehow and i really dont have anyone to talk to right now.
Thank you everybody.

Hershey 03-18-2003, 09:26 PM I am sorry that you had to lose a close friend in such a tragic way. I lost one of my best friends in 1st grade becuz of her birth disorder, she had a hole in her heart so I know how it feels to suddenly lose someone, even though it happened a long time ago, I still dont like thinking about it. Im sorry,:bighug: :crying:
MidnightRose21498 03-18-2003, 11:23 PM I agree with everyone. Sudden death is very hard to deal with. whether you are close friends, aquaintances or between the two. I had this guy friend that was kinda in between friend and aquaintance. We flirted a lot. Well, he flirted with all the girls. I dated two or three of his friends but always wanted to date him. He was just completely gorgeous and full of life but also into bad stuff. One night I was getting ready to go pick up a few of my friends and head over to the school football game and my friend called, told me not to turn on the tv, and that she'd be right over. Well, I found out he was killed by some police officers. From what I heard, his girlfriend told the police that he robbed a Waffle House, so they went looking for him at his house. He ran. He shouldn't have done that. But he ran across the street. They cornered him in a ditch and shot him in the head. From what I heard he wasn't even armed... was even calling out for his mom who was running right behind the police officers. I know that the GBI got involved in the case but I never found out how that turned out. My dad, friend, and I (along with most of the school) went to his funeral. I didn't shed a tear. They played, "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" and "One Sweet Day" at the funeral. I didn't believe it. It took me weeks maybe even a month or so to accept it. But when it did, I was crying so much. To this day, I can't really hear those two songs, not think of him and get sad.
Just remember the good times and know that your friend is in a better place now.
