View Full Version : weird doubts
JoJoJoJoJoJoJoJoJo 03-16-2003, 04:43 PM Yea... i've been dating this guy for, what, 3 weeks? And he's really great. I mean, i honestly couldn't ask for a better guy. But for some reason, I do this everytime I start to date someone, i have all these gut feelings that I can't quite put my finger on. I Mean, i don't know what it is. I like him and all, he's really great. I dunno. It's just... a feeling. Does anyone know what i'm talking about? I can't figure it out. I don't know why i have these feelings, could be cause of my self estemm being so low or what. I dunno. Has anyone ever been through this? I'm sorry if i'm just rambling, but I just can't figure it out. I've never had a relationship last over a month cause of this... I dunno what it is.
¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 03-16-2003, 04:50 PM Hmm... I dunno, Ive never been in this situation. But, heres the best advice I can give: Stay with him for ATLEAST a month and a half (unless he turns out to be an @/hole...LOl), maybe once you reach past the 1 month marking, you wont feel as guilty.
¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 03-16-2003, 04:56 PM Also, you said your longest relationship was a month? Did he break up with you? If so- maybe you have these weird feelings because you feel as if after a month, all your BF's will dump you so you dump THEM before they can dump you. Maybe your longest relationship ended on a bad note and you dont want a repeat, so, before you can get hurt, you end it.

Oh.. well my best conclusion is because you're still young and dont want to settle down into a commitment. If what Ive read in magazines is right, itll pass when you're finally ready to find that someone.
Titania 03-16-2003, 05:11 PM I know what your talking about....
all my relationships end at around 3-4 months because I start to get this weird kind of sick-worry-feeling suffocated-desire to just get out-nervous feeling. Just like something isnt right. And everytime I end up dumping them because I just cant take that feeling anymore...
I dont know exactly what it is- but I do think its important to listen to those weird feelings, instincts are usually right. I may be wrong interpreting these signs, but I figure that if I ever do find the right person I wont get those "gut feelings"
Im not telling you to break up with him, you need to decide what they mean for you, but I know what you're talking about.
Nanny Fine 03-16-2003, 06:30 PM I get that feeling anytime I date (which wont' be often anymore after my most recent) because my internal "wall" comes up ... to protect me because I'm so used to being screwed over. So I get a feeling, deep down, that I know deep down is just my own way of protecting myself. I let it down this last time and I got blasted again.
I've been dumped, jilted and screwed over more times than I can count, including being left single and pregnant. I'm so wary anymore of even bothering or wanting to date.
Don't worry JoJo. It's natural to be a bit anxious at the start of a relationship.
Oh, my last relationship lasted two months.
Beat that! :p
;)

Very good.
I hope your boyfriend appreciates your sense of humor.
If not, send him packing!
