What do you think of cartoons that are ripoffs of sitcoms? Which is better? I also go with the original sitcoms. Some cases they don't even try to hid it. Especially since alot of them are ripoffs of Jackie Gleason. And no cartoon is better than Gleason. Here are some cartoons I can recall

Yogi Bear (Ed Norton of the Honeymooners, Yogi wore the exact same hat and talked the same)

The Flinstones (The Honeymooners)

Also there was this Looney Toons cartoon, they did I beleive two of them with these Mice that were exactly like the Honeymooners

Inspector Gadget (Get Smart, didn't try to hid it, both played by Don Adams, dumb secret agent, catchphrases, annoying the cheif weather with the con of silence or with an exploding message, and the secret phones)

And then we have the cartoons that are spinoff ripoffs such as:

Fonzie and the Happy Days Gang
Dukes
Mork and Mindy
Laverne and Shirley
Star Trek
New Adventures of Gilligan
Gilligan's Planet
Jeannie
Emergency
Brady Kids
Partridge Family 2200 AD

And others, of which I cannot think of at the moment.

Wait Until Your Father Gets Home was a cartoon spoof of All In The Family

Anybody think the Flinstones is better than the Honemooners. That is cool with me. I feel less cool about it if someone said Yogi Bear is better then Ed Norton. Which was much more blatent and if I was Gleason I would have sued Hanna Barbera over Yogi Bear. Personally, I don't see how anything (cartoon or live action) is funnier than the episode Ralph feed his boss dog food. That was one of the hilarous sitcoms episodes of all time. I still laugh everytime I see it.

Ralph: Every dog as his day.

Ralph: My mother in law is a wonderful lady and all. But anything she cooked I wouldn't feed to a dog.

Ralph's co worker: Wait this is dog food.

Ralph: How would you feel if you feed your boss dog food.

Norton: Maybe if my boss was a cataspanyord.

Actually "Wait Til Your Father Gets Home" would qualify as a ripoff not a spinoff, since it was not sanctioned by Norman Lear or Tandem Productions. Nevertheless, I enjoyed watching the show and wish Cartoon Network would bring the reruns back as part of their adult swim.
