I just finished watching a scene between Edith and Archie on the episode Bunkers and Inflation-pt 3 and it was EXTREMELY FUNNY. Edith took a job working in the Jeffersons Dry Cleaning store and of course Archie didn't like it. Read below.

Archie:You are taking a job in a colored store? What are the white people going to say Edith when they see you working in a color store? What are they going to say?

Edith: I guess they will just say Hi Edith


LOL LOL-i thought that was a very funny scene with Archie and Edith

I agree that scene was not only a hilarious exchange between the two but also a strong indication of how much Edith is different from Archie, in the area of, as Archie would say, "racing relations."

The thing that made it so funny is that it's like Edith forgot for one minute how Archie felt about black people. So that's why I will say that is a classic Archie/EDith moment.

Yes,that was a very funny exchange. Anything involving Archie and the Jeffersons is very funny. Especially the episodes where Archie's niece, Linda,goes out with Lionel and Edith hides the picture of Linda and Lionel together and when Archie sees it,he gets irate and says,"They're Sitting Together On The Couch!!!",and Mike and Gloria comes in and tell what's wrong with Archie,and he said,"This Is Going On",as he shows them the picture,and then he gets really mad and says,"And This Is Going On!!!!" And the episode "Pay The Twenty Dollars" is a really funny one as well.:lol:

The fact that Edith was unaware of how serious Archie was about the thoughts of the white people after seeing her in the Jeffersons store just makes me keep laughing.

:lol: Yeah, I like that scene in the Linda and Lionel episode. The scene that Solomon mentioned earlier was pretty funny, too.
