Does anyone know if Mrs Brady have a wig in the first season of
The Brady Bunch.

In Growing Up Brady it is said that Florence wore a wig for the first season. Check out her appearance of curly hair, compared to straight otherwise, especially in her square in the opening sequences "Here's the story ..." She had "a very short, sort of combed-over hairdo, not unlike the one you see today on ... uh ... Pat Sajak." (page 105, third paragraph) That hairstyle didn't work with the producers, so she was given a wig to wear for the first twelve or so episodes.

Florence's got her very short 'do (covered with the infamous Bubble-'do wig) for the movie "Song of Norway". BTW, she was also virtually absent from "The Big Sprain" episode because she was working on "Song of Norway".

I liked that hairdo. Thought it made her look young. I didn't like the shag. I didn't know it was wig until I read Barry's book Growing Up Brady.

I alway kind of like the wig myself. :p
