Okay, confess. Who takes all the pens from hotel rooms they stay in?? Or anything else for that matter.

I take every pen and pad of paper. My mom takes all the shampoo and soap.

LOl! I thought I was the only one to take the pens and paper! I take the shampoo and conditioner too even if it smells bad.

sheets, towels, pillows, curtains. i say grab it all!

Actually I am proud to say not one Bible has been taken since we took over in January of '01. I guess no one's into religion anymore these days. :p

Yup, those mini Colgate 2 in 1's Toothpaste and Mouthwash - Icy Blast. We get them by the crate for free from a local company so we just stick them in the rooms.

Actually......we own it. It's not as glamourous as it sounds though. People are always complaining. "The air conditioner isn't cold enough." "These pillows look tiny, CAN WE HAVE A FEW MORE?!?" "My husband isn't comfortable, we need a different room with a stiffer bed." I swear to God, you get a total of 2 hours of sleep a night and you can't be away for more than 2 seconds without something going wrong or someone complaining.

Aha, you would think it would be that easy, eh? Hiring help takes money and since the parents have a 17 year old in the house, they score by saving money and having me work in the office. It's not that bad sometimes because you're in power most of the time, but then you have to deal with strangers day in and day out. But I'm also the first to check rooms and all tips go to me. I once found $10 which kinda brought up my day.

Yeah...I'll admit, we take the shampoo and stuff... we once took a towel by accident, we thought it was one of ours, but we sent it back to them (the owners of the hotel are our good family friends so they didn't mind :p)

I take hotel stuff all the time. Soap, coffee, shampoo, pads, pens...I hardly ever use any of what I take, I just like to collect it.

I do take the pens and pads.
Some of the hotels in Las Vegas have great pens. The Stratosphere hotel and casino has pens with the cap shaped like the hotel. Very cool.
I used to collect "Do Not Disturb" signs. But nowadays the signs are generic, with no hotel names on them.

OMG I do!! I've gotten cups, waters, plates, shampoo, pens, paper, soap, and sooooooo much more!

I collect soaps from hotels- if you take them out each day and hide them in your suitcase, the maids will keep putting new ones out. The best are the cocoa butter soap from the hotel hershey and the bayberry soaps from williamsburg inn.

i also take the pens/paper/shampoos/lotions etc

Yeah, most hotels now have the doors with the key card lock and the handle. Those things don't hang on a regular doorknob. My collection is ruined!

So now I collect key cards too.

When we were young, my brother and I would take the plastic cups, fill them with water and throw them off the balcony. Occasionally, it would hit someone below and the hotel would get into trouble...:mrt:

I've only stolen a Bible once, and it was in Puerto Rico, so the Bible was in Spanish. I thought it was really interesting, so I took it. :eek4: When the soaps are good, I take them. Last year, I went on a school trip to Florida, and the hotel (Summerfield Suites, btw) that we stayed at had Bath and Body Works shampoo and conditioner. So I took that every day. haha. I have alot of stuff from places where we go often, or if we go for a long time. I think I've got about 10 Marriot San Juan pens, and alot of Islandia Marriot stuff. hmm...

no seriously I usually take the Pens, the Pads and the shampoos and Soaps You dont know HOW many Pens I have from the Disneyland Hotel and other Hotels in the Disneyland area

oh and TJL a few Summers ago I got one of those Tinkerbell KeyCards I soo wanted to take it but I was with my mom and she was all "no thats called Stealing" I was like "Oh please like they dont have a thousand of these things and I"m sure everybody takes it" so anyways I was a good girl and didnt take it I wish I would have though

I take the pens sometimes but only if they are black ink and not the really wet dark ink. I'm picky about my pens. :lol:

over the summer, we stayed in about 10 or 12 hotels, and we'd all take the papers, envelopes, pens, shampoo, lotion, basically everything that we could carry without being too obvious. and then we'd go ask housekeeping for some more. lol.

Hmm, I think I've taken pens but that's it. I stayed at at a hotel one time with an ex friend and she took an ashtray. She got a letter in the mail that week demanding the return of the ashtray OR $50 replacement! FIFTY BUCKS?!

Picked up a box of matches from the Tribeca Grand Hotel last night.
Sorry, no pens...

Why that is just SHOCKING! I would NEVER do anything like that!;)


Actually I really think that they expect you to take stuff. After all with their name on these things it is cheap advertizing right?:)
